Anyone ever make home made bombs for fun?
Its a great way to get interested in chemistry and learn about why things work they way they do. Have a little fun cause some mischief. Learn about saftey etc.
Or are you of the mind set… This is not a healthy thing to be doing. Your going to grow up and be a terrorist. The world needs to watch out for people like you.

Why ??? I am not telling people how to make smoke bombs or how to make TNT or COMP4 or RDX. Just a discussion if you made them. If you think its a good pass time.
If could lead to a good job in demolitions and mining.

I will go first. I made a small smoke bomb in chemistry class that got me suspended from school. The chemistry teacher was not teaching chemistry the next semester after that. Or for the rest of my time at that school.
I watched a friend of mine make a bomb that blew open mail boxes you put your letters in to. Man those make a huge boom. I have no idea how he made it or what he used but damn I heard a ringing in my ears. Alarms around the area went off.
We got to his place and he threw out all his materials in a panic. Never made anymore.
He is now in Afghanistan fighting terrorists. The ironic thing is he now uses a javelin to bust open hideouts with a huge boom.
My brother and I used to make bombs using the guts of Black Cats and film canisters. I agree with Momma, terrorism has put a stank on home made bombs. If we were doing that today, we’d be taken away from our parents and put into a juvenile correctional facility.
I never have, but my father made a batch of black powder in 8th grade. He got the ingredients from the pharmacy, who I guess alerted his parents and he got in a lot of trouble at home.

Man are you serious for making a small boom. Juvy …nooooooooo way. What is wrong with the world. Am I the only one here that thinks if you do stuff like this safely and in an area where nothing really bad can happen. WTF. Its just fun with chemistry.
Lets face it-- fishing with explosives is the most entertaining way. Plus, it’s efficient and takes all the hassle out of ‘catching’ the damn things.
Never really created homemade bombs - but have made thermite & dry ice to destroy bike locks. Put some thermite on a bike lock and after burning toss some dry ice to crack the hell out of it. Good times : D
Not really bombs, but in college we put some MRE heater packs into a Mt Dew Bottle and put a little water in with it. Screw the cap on tight and the gas expands and eventually it pops. It is REALLY loud. we did one in the dorms and the police were called in. Made the local papers n everything. They called it a Mt Dew bomb. You can also use toilet bowl cleaner and aluminium foil. We do them from time to time at a party or whatnot to scare the shit out of people. Think popping a bag or ballon next to someone only about 10X louder. Oh, and the 20 oz bottles are louder than a 2 liter. Has to do with the amount of pressure I think and the 20 oz bottles have thicker sidewalls.

made napalm once, just get some Styrofoam and soak the pieces in gasoline for awhile. turns into like a glue/gel type substance…that will not stop being on fire.
Made a few trash bag bombs on new year’s eve. If you’re a welder, you know how to make 'em lol.

I think if you have like 100 acres of land in the country, it’s okay to build and detonate your own bombs for fun. Why not? As long as you’re safe with it, you could blow up cool stuff like junk cars or lawn motors.

100 acres… just to blow a couple things up… thats overkill. With 3-4 acres you can safely blow up whatever you can make at home
In high school a friend of mine stole a whole box of matches from the restaurant where he worked…10,000 of em’ I think,it was a big ass box.
We spent an afternoon cutting the heads off them and then we wrapped them all into a big tinfoil ball about the size of a bowling ball and threw it in a fire. Well after awhile nothing is happening so like the dumb fucks we were we got closer…and closer, them KABOOM. Huge mushroom cloud, ten thousand matcheads at night is quite a spectacle lol. Plus we were high on two hits if acid. We still laugh about it today. Good times.
