Lived in Seattle for 24 years. The place was virtually built by Boeing. When we first moved there, it seemed everyone I met had a relative or neighbor who worked at Boeing.
I initially misread the title as “a model of late-20th century capitalism” which does seem apt. Boeing is a mess and has been for awhile. But capitalism is going to have a pretty good 21st century, IMO.
Now? It’s always been rubble.
