I will be taking pics every month or so to see my progress.Honestly, until I took these I didn’t realise how much like shit I look, especially from the front. In may I have to drop some fat and grow my chest

Also at some point I need to take care of the slight gyno I have, probably within the next 6 months

A greek protein site had an offer where if you buy 3 products you get 2 more for free, I went half with my brother and ended up buying 6.25 kg / 13.75 lbs of protein for 75 euro. That’s gonna make dropping some fat easier

I was scrolling through instagram and some lifting posts came up.Most of them contained some badass life reference, or something about how lifting makes you a lion, and in general captions in those lines

My question has always been, why does everything has to be so deep? Why not accepting that lifting objects specifically designed and shaped to be lifted is enjoyable, without any need for a deeper meaning?

Not judging, it’s not my business what bring you pleasure, just genuinely curious

Very hard on the ego to say you’re just some malaka who lifts weights with nothing else going on in your life.

I love how the home gym has given me the opportunity to work on stuff I suck at.No walking to the gym (which some times made me avoid higher reps), no people waiting to use the equipment, noone to distract you, available at any time of the day.I will be really proud when I reach even a mere 2 plates on stuff like bodybuilding style bench press, high bar slow eccentric squats, 15-20 bodyweight rep pullups ect

Plus it’s really healthy psychologically.Today I was feeling down all day.I loaded the bar and just did what I felt like.Afterwards my mood was good enough to deal with the life issues we all face from time to time

On a side note, during the quarantine I started watching American Dad, B-E-S-T A-N-I-M-A-T-E-D series ever

I read that as BE STAN-IMATED at first and thought it was a joke based on the Stan being one of the main characters.

Aaaand now I feed stupid for not making that joke

Any reason you are using a thumbless grip on those squats ?? It’s hard to tell from that angle but your general head position looked ok. The rest I can’t tell from that video but it looked a little shaky!

After years of basketball my wrist don’t handle being bent that well, and thumbless minimizes the bending

Yesterday this happened, and there’s not a similar charger in a shop in the whole town

If the rumor that they monitor out work laptops is true, oh boy it’s gonna be funny :joy:

LEGS

Some squatting, but it sucked.I am switching my pins to looking towards the window. Now a mirror, but way better than nothing.I seriously do not get why people shit on looking at a mirror while squatting.Unless you’re a powerlifter of course

On a side note, since I like keeping the log more than lifting

I have been studying python for a while, and it’s going nicely.Don’t know how I’ll apply it to my “career” (kinda hate calling working like that but it’s the most suitable word), but it’s a skill that may give me a chance to work remotely, which opens up more opportunities for both a more psychologically sustainable job (more opportunities means more flexibility to reject the sucky ones) and for more money. The idea of working 8 of my 16 wake hours for most of my life drives me crazy, and higher wage means I can save more and be able to retire way earlier possibly

Some random thoughts that some may relate to
