Bodybuilder who doesnt like food!

My biggest draw back has always been a don’t really like eating (yes, I know I’m a weirdo!). Never been a foodie, doesn’t really excite me, and it’s always meant I’ve struggled with nutrition in regards to gym work. My question is, can I drink all my calories and macros in several shakes throughout the day and skip all eating? Would this have any negative affects ingestion wise?

In the mornings I have a blended shake with 3x eggs, 100g powdered oats, 2x scoops of protein powder. This shake equates to 834kcal, 70g carb, 26g fat, 78g protein.

What’s to stop me having this 4x a day and not have to cook?!

For context, my calorie aim is around 3250 so it’s not overindulge!

Appreciate any input as to problems I may into short/long term :muscle:t4:

You’re still getting in food, you’re just preparing it by blending. I don’t necessarily see an issue.

You may want to add fruits/ vegetables to some of the shakes or consider supplementing with Superfood.

Bone broth would likely be another worthy addition.

If all it is is you don’t want to chew, but can slurp down the nutrients, I think you’ve got a lot of options.

Bowel cancer from no fruits…veges… surely you jest ?

Try a quality powder, egg yolks, heavy whipping cream, water or Fairlife whole milk … Tons of protein, fats, calories… no carb related gastrointestinal issues… and tastes delicious

You need a Bass-o-Matic.

You can totally just drink your meals and be fine, there are businesses and products designed specifically for that. Huel and Soylent are to two most popular. They are formulated with all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients your body needs - but they also have a lot of crappy ingredients that you don’t need or want too.

I love that you’re making your own, but I do agree with @TrainForPain - throw some veggies/fruit in there for some extra nutrients and prebiotics for your gut health. You could also throw in some avocado or nut butter for a dose of healthy fat too.

I’d also suggest a solid multi-vitamin and maybe some fish oil and a probiotic, just for some extra insurance.

If you go this route long term, please keep us posted!

Like a milk shake really.

Vegetable protein… serioulsy?

Heavy whipping cream is such a cheat code.

One cup of whipping cream and two scoops of protein

That’s 1000 calories.

I didn’t say it was good. I just said it was out there.

I know right, it tastes like a milkshake!

Thanks for advice! I’m deffo going supplement with fruits and veg as snacks where possible. As long as it doesn’t require prep time or being in the kitchen and can be consumed on the move, im game.

I’ve also got multi vitamins, and have just ordered some fibre powder just in case (if I’m not hitting my greens target).

I’ve tried Huel before, the concept is great but I’m not a fan.

I’m gonna take the threads advice with a few other ideas, adding fruit, PB, ice cream (not all at the same time), so each shake per day is slightly different, therefore lessening the boredom kicking it.

I will keep you all posted. Appreciate the replies :muscle:t4:
