I think his dad hit the button right on the head. He is obsessed with his looks cause he is majorly insecure. Which has lead to all this self-destructive behavior. He has little to no balance in life. He needs to find a way to balance out his gym time with his family life. The only way he is going to do that is to work on that insecurity issue.
Personally I am a bit jealous he has such a good wife. Cause when most women don’t feel your doing 100% for them they leave you with the kids and take half your shit. This is a good woman and he needs to wise up to what is really important.

I don’t spend 4 whole hours in the gym (and I seriously doubt he actually does either…they probably added in tanning and everything else) but I know people who have. If a woman sticks with a guy like that, why tell him he needs balance ten years later when he still acts the same?
