blackagger- I didnt really notice much of a temper issue with the RFL. I think its all about getting creative with the food choices though. If i was eating whole cooked chicken breasts and cans of tuna all day every day I would probably go crazy too lol
Spidey- I do actually like the RFL because its kind of a down n dirty way to get things done. Ive never actually “dieted” before where I counted macros and calories so this is really the only way i’ve ever done it. I’m sure the slow and steady way would be good too, i’ve just never done it. Strength so far seems ok. Havent pushed much because of being on the RFL. I was going with a little less weight/volume because of the low cals. I was destroying back day yesterday. Was as strong, if not stronger, on everything than I was the week or two before. With the 11lb drop in weight my pullups have been skyrocketing. I was destroying sets of 12 wide grip with a 25 hanging down. I think everything held up well.

Matty- thanks bud, arms are only 17inchs without a pump but they dont look half bad in the right light. RFL is the Rapid Fat Loss diet by Lyle McDonald. Its basically a Protein Sparring Modified Fast (PSMF) kinda diet. There are quite a few guys doing it right now and its a short quick dieting strategy. Its pretty extreme but I am very happy with the results. down 11.5 lbs in 9 days and after a huge carb up re-feed I am still at 205 so that means a majority of that was fat loss. pretty sweet.

its just to intense for me lol, the minute im without carbs i lose my mind and am in a horrible mood and everyone around me thinks i hate them haha

UPDATE (even though no one is following this log and I havent been on T-Nation in almost two months lol)
today marked the halfway point of the fire academy. Things are going great. Its so much fun and I’m out there showing all those other dudes how its done hahaha
havent been able to hit the gym since it started (7 weeks) but got off way early today and got in there… oh man it felt great! BW is down from 213 to 206 this evening.
Been running a lot during the academy and ran a 11:52 2 mile this morning during our Physical Abilities test (down from a laughable 15:32 on the first week)… my running has slowly come back so thats good.
aaaanyway, I probably wont be updating much since my schedule is off the charts for this thing. Getting up by 4:00AM and out the door by 4:40. My usual time home is 6:15PM and as late as 8 a few times… Long days but tons of fun.
I’ll fire this log back up after I graduate. 6 more weeks of takin names and kickin ass. Yeaaaaaaaa buddy!
