The Champ- Yeah the reps werent too hard. the first one felt extremely light… You’re right, i might have had a few reps in the tank but was just drained.

Kalle- I’m pretty sure I’ve seen at least one or two pictures of Wolverine with a mustache… you could rock one

Rock- would you like it more if it was a pencil line mustache? Either that or a chin strap?

AchillesofWar- Rise against is awesome. That song came on the ipod when I was at the gym and I knew it was going to be on during my vid. so bad ass… especially that breakdown. Makes me wanna rage lol

Jake- Yeah the 225 lunges were heavy. I was struggling TBH. I prefer walking lunges but I dont really have a spot in the gym where I can do them. I think the stationary lunges destroy my quads more cause I have to explode up from the bottom position.

Ink- hahaha Sorry buddy. I wasnt trying to 1 up you. I just felt like I needed to get some after my sub par DLing. Not a great idea though cause I felt like absolute dog S last night. damn this cold.

Still feeling bad. Didnt eat dinner last night cause the thought of eating made me sick. (actually I had an all fruit popsicle that helped my sore throat) resting up today and watching “Game of Thrones” on HBO On Demand. Really fighting off the urge to go to the gym and do cardio… that whole “sweat it out” bro-science mantra.

Unilateral work is a nice break from deads/squats…and makes butt feel nice.

Question - I’ve seen a few people do this, but why do you roll the bar towards you every DL rep?

I imagine it’s just because some people deadlift somewhere the bar doesn’t like to stay still or where you want it… that’s the only reason I’ve ever done it anyway but with a decent surface to lift from it’s never an issue

I would do this if I didn’t use straps. The reason for this is because, to me, it makes the movement seem like more of a fluid motion - rather than a true DEADstopLIFT. IDK if that makes sense or not, but I’ve seen a ton of pretty strong mofos using that technique.

Thats why I do it. Its more of a re grip thing for me

scj- pretty much what everyone else said. It kinda helps me reset each rep so its like doing a set of singles. When I set the bar down its not right up against my shins so thats why I do the roll to get it into place.

Ok so I didnt go to the gym yesterday and I basically slept all day long. I feel MUCH better toady. I’m not 100% yet but I’m feeling much better than yesterday. My low back, upperback/traps and my glutes/hammies are really sore today.

I did 30 minutes on the stairmaster this morning followed by breakfast of 6 free range eggs cooked in VCO on top of 3 pieces of ezik bread.

Gonna get back into the gym after class today for my 531 bench day. my 3+ set is 290. Looking forward to doing some heavier benching.

Today I felt much better and had an AMAZING WORKOUT!

Seriously one of the best workouts I’ve ever had. I feel like my Bench Technique was really dialed in today (not 100% there but much improved)
I watched the “so you think you can benchpress” (or something like that) video series from Elite FTS a few times and was way better.
