Bmbrady77 Lab Results

Here’s the latest. I had been conducting an experiment (with doctors approval). On my last bloods, he told me I could work up from the 0.11mL daily (154mg/week) up to 0.15mL daily (210mg/week) providing that if I noticed anything really strange I would back down immediately.

I did that starting last October. I bought a house in December and things got turned upside down (as they usually do with a move). Diet started slipping, and time for the gym was getting hard to fit in. By March I was up to .14mL daily for around 6 weeks and was noticing very much improved erections and libido. Sleep was still not quite there yet, and general stress was normal (moving and unpacking, along with slipping diet I think).

I started getting my routine back down and was trucking good when the Covid-19 thing hit, and then the gyms got shut down. Diet started going backwards again (huge hassle to get in and out of the grocery stores to buy my normal stuff (if they even had it in stock) so fast food became more frequent).

At that point, not knowing what my blood levels were looking like and no ability to get in heavy workouts, I decided to play it safe and go back down to 0.12mL daily until I got this lab and was able to discuss with Dr Saya.

Got this lab last week and wasn’t surprised to see the cholesterol levels higher. I also wasn’t too surprised to see the hct a little high because I was on steady state 0.14mL just 6 weeks before the lab work, and the hct takes longer than that to come back down. Was a little dehydrated as well.

Talked with Dr Saya Tuesday, and he said that my results didn’t surprise him either with all that had been going on. The end result of the consult was that I am going back up to 0.14mL daily because he thinks that the positive trend that was starting to happen when I was that high may have i dictated that I was going in the right direction. We also discussed that since things are opening back up, I would stay committed to the gym (no problems there…) and the diet would get back in point (no problems there either).

He also wants me to do a blood donation within the month (I have an appt next Saturday to donate) and we will do a mini lab in 3 months to make sure that hct is behaving.

Here’s me making good on my end of things… couldn’t keep me out of the gym anyway, but after this whole shutdown bullshit, you couldn’t run me away from it with a shitty mop!!

I have some work to do, but it won’t take long.

No problems with thyroid? Your FT is crazy considering your TT. And yeah you will bounce back quick.

Thyroid doesn’t seem to be an issue at this time, though we are gonna keep an eye on it.

My SHBG went down to 10! That is pretty crazy. I think that may have something to do with being on .14mL and then dropping down to .12mL only 6 weeks before the labs. Not sure though. Dr Saya didn’t seem too concerned about it at this time.

Have you had the full thyroid panel done with free T3 etc? How do you feel?

Yeah I’ve had it done the first two labs (or maybe it was the first and third?) with Defy.

Numbers looked pretty decent with not a lot of change. I feel pretty damn good overall. I think I would have no complaints whatsoever if I could get the sleep thing down. It’s been my biggest Bain.

I was seeing major improvements everywhere else (crazy libido and rock hard erections every time) with the dosage I’m on now (.14mL daily), but I was only on that for about 6 weeks or so the last time. It’s possible that sleep will be improved as well on this dose if I stick with it for a few months. We’ll see I guess lol.

I feel ok with the lower dose, but I find myself worrying about stupid shit a lot more. Now, only 2 weeks into the .14 again (I actually decided on my own as soon as I had bloodwork ran to go ahead and bump up since I knew I had a consult within a week) and I find that I’m not stressing over shit hardly at all, and erections are starting to ramp back up to where they were. Who knows if I’ll see any other improvements besides that, but I will only know if I give it enough time right?

negative ruminations?

Yeah. Like feeling my heart beat a little harder (more likely diet related than anything here lately) and having those “impending doom” type of thought patterns. Oh Lord I hope I’m
not having a heart attack. That type of shit.

Not that a a noticeable heart rate increase and harder beating (increased BP) aren’t something to worry about, but logically speaking, you should kinda expect an increase in BP after eating a BK Bacon King you know?

It always comes right back down afterwards, and is not an issue now that the gyms are back open and I’m back on the wagon, but now it seems like I’m more like, if it’s my time it’s my time. No sense stressing about shit I can’t control. I can reign in the diet, which I have, but if the ticker was to go tonight, really…what the fuck could I do about it right?

There seems to be the same level of “concern”, meaning that I won’t continue doing the same things that I know are causing harm to my body, but not near the level of stress/panic over it…if that makes any sense?!

Are you taking magnesium glycinate? Mealatonin?

I’m not currently taking either, but I have in the past. Never noticed much difference with them.

Get the MedQuest versions. They work well. The online supplement company versions suck. I tried them when I ran out and melatonin wasn’t even felt. Same with mag. I got my compound pharmacy version and it worked like a charm. I would give it another try and I bet you’ll feel it working this time.

I may do that, though it’ll have to wait until the funds get recouped. I’m tapped out at the moment.

I realized the b12 supp negativily affected my sleep.

600mg Mag Glycinate at bed time did me wonders with rumination. Very calming.

I apologize if this question is too personal, and you can say so if it is and not answer, but did you starting the magnesium glycinate coincide at all with when you stopped the booze?

The reason I ask is because if it did, do you think there’s any chance that stopping alcohol could have affected the amount of change you saw?

I truly respect your opinions in particular brother, and again I sincerely apologize if that question is crossing the line.

No line, no worries. No, I started the mag last spring I think, quit booze in September. As a matter of fact we were on vacation last summer and I was getting BITCHY and negative and it took me 3 days to realized I had forgotten my mag at home (my poor family). Hit CVS and got a supply and was good a few hours later. Night and day difference. Was fine the rest of the vacation week.

That’s awesome that you realized that and salvaged the vacation time! You mentioned CVS, do you mind pointing me to which brand / dosage you settled on?

The one I tried before was bought from Amazon (can’t remember which one) and it did nothing that I could tell. Maybe I’ll give the one you use a shot.

I forget which one I got from CVS but this is what I use from Amazon. Don’t be afraid to up the dosage too. I started at 400 (2 tabs) but had to increase to 600 (3 tabs) to show results.

Quick update… 5 weeks in today on .14mL (28mg) daily and feeling pretty damn good. Noticeably less anxiety and erections have greatly improved. They weren’t bad before, but now they are what I remember from my younger days.

COVID shutdown regression is finally going in the right direction.

I am exactly 4 weeks into 35mg daily. The scale isn’t sure what to do (especially on 2k cals a day) but the fat seems to be dropping off. I need to join the lean boi club before I join the big boi club like you two.
