Bloodwork: Should I Have Been Approved for TRT? TRT Protocol Good?

Hey guys, I have some questions. I started trt treatment over two weeks ago. I was prescribed to take 0.45ML test cyp Mondays and Thursdays, 0.2ML HCG every other day and 1mg anastrozole every other day. I haven’t taken this dose of AI I only took 0.25mg every other day but have stopped taking it all together now, unless or until new bloodwork says I should. I just don’t know why this dr prescribed me so much. I’m with titan medical by the way.

Need a little more info regarding your first question, but on the surface, yes.

Regarding the protocol, no. You may not even need anastrozole, and some would argue it should never be used, but 3.5mg a week is a very high dose. Women with breast cancer take 1mg daily. I suspect your E2 level will bottom out and that is not good.

As for hCG, are you taking it to maintain fertility?

OMG, 1mg EOD, please run from this doctor! This AI dosage is the protocol for a woman with breast cancer, not a man on TRT.

If you look at all the various threads created by members you will see them talking in milligrams, the strength of the vial of testosterone, ml is volume and doesn’t really tell us anything.

Well good thing is I didn’t really even take the AI. I split the 1MG pill into fours and took 0.25 like 3 or 4 times in the two weeks since I started the trt program. and yes im taking hcg to keep fertility.

its 210MG.

what other infor do you need regarding my first question? I am 33 years old, 5ft 10in, 180lbs. im at about 10-11% body fat, I don’t have that much fat just a little bit of a gut.

Symptoms? What led you to look into TRT in the first place?

Hey highpull, thanks so much for taking the time to respond to my post. Well the symptoms I was having was very low energy, I have been working out for over 10 years and really got into heavy weight training about 7 or 8 years ago. but about 6 or 7 months ago I have been very fatigued, barely able to finish my workouts, very irritable, low sex drive, low libido, depression. I also took an 8 week cycle of mk866- a sarm. I didn’t properly pct afterwards but I felt amazing when I took it then I finished the 8 week cycle and I felt like I did before I took it . So now I have been on trt for a little over two weeks, my energy has been amazing, my workouts are better then ever, I feel like a million bucks. the only problem I have with the trt program is the prescribed AI, luckily I haven’t taken the 1mg eod like prescribed I broke the pill into fours and took 0.25mg 3 or 4 times just because from reading on here that it isn’t too good to take. so anyway I hope you read this and get back to me I have some more questions about trt I would like to ask. thanks again so much for your help!

You’re welcome.

Sure ask away, looks like TRT was necessary for you.

Ok so about the protocol I’ve been prescribed, should I just not take any AI until I have to? When would be a good time to increase testosterone? I’ve been on this trt program for 2 weeks, when should I go for a blood test? My cholesterol is a little high will trt effect that?

I would avoid an AI if at all possible.

Assuming you are at 180mg a week (0.45mL 2x/week), I doubt you’ll need to increase. A good time to change would be after determining your current protocol is inadequate.

Give it six weeks, then check levels.

Nope. Avoid the AI.

Check this out. I’ve posted it before, and others have as well.
