Bloodwork Results with Some Concerns

ks man, what would you suggest as some adreanal fatigue measures? I feel 10 times better after donating blood. I was feeling pretty sluggish and worn out. Symptoms pretty much disappeared after donating. Still going steady with the .2 adex eod and feeling fine so far… I just hope the stuff I have is legit or atleast dosed right so when I get some from somewhere else I won’t over dose it.

thanks for the reply ks man. I’ve been waiting to hear from you because I know you know your stuff. Any suggestions on lowering rt3 is appreciated. I’ll do my research as well. Thanks

ks man, would it be worthwhile to get my iron levels checked and to take a 24 he cortisol test? Any other tests you’d recommend?

Your AM cortisol level is strong, so you are not suffering from low cortisol. Do you feel particularly drained at at other times. You also need to consider that your feeling better after donating blood may be indicating that HTC may have been creating a number of negative effects and perhaps you should see how you respond to that. Typically we do not see low iron and high HCT. Iron can change a lot, ferritin is more to the point.

Read the book for now.

Times I feel a little more tired than usual is probably around 4-6 pm right after work, i work a full time job which can be pretty labor intensive at times. It’s hard to put a specific time on it because it happens at different times, i’ll pay more attention to it though but i just figured it was from working full time and working out 1-1.5 hrs 5 days a week. nothing out of the ordinary but then again I don’t know how I’m supposed to feel or how other people feel during the day so I can’t really compare myself. Is it normal for people to feel a little run down during the day for a little bit?

So ks man you think ferritin would be a better suitable blood test to get rather than iron? Thank you for the replies I really appreciate it.

What are you opinions on my tsh level? do you think my t3 and t4 should be lower? I know you said my rt3 is pretty high and I plan to read that book in the near future.

Your low iron and high HCT seem a bit contradictory. Serum iron can change a lot, making a lab number less useful of an overall status. I have had high serum iron and low serum iron.

Ferritin is a better measure of iron status. For next labs.

Low ferritin is associated with GI bleeds and thyroid problems.

TSH is worrying. rT3 blocking fT3 might explain why fT3 is where it is.

Read thyroid basics sticky. I do not see that you have tracked your body temperatures or reported iodine intake.

You work/stress and training may be a combo that is contributing you adrenal stress.

I didn’t even know i had my iron checked, which test was that?? I’ll be getting the ferritin tested for next labs on the 28th

I got a thermometer from the local grocery store, it says it’s accurate to within .2 degrees but it read 96.6 for both me and a buddy i had test it out so i’m not so sure how accurate it is, however i’ll keep using it and record the temperatures starting tomorrow morning.

As far as iodine, can your body use the iodine in foods? if not then I most likely get little to no iodine, all i take for supplements is fish oil, no vitamins really.

Work was stressing me out a bit because money was pretty tight for a while but i just got a raise and it has really taken a lot of stress off of me

FERRITIN 10 My ferritin is really low, could this be part of my problem? would raising my ferritin levels help with my thyroid issues?

Thyroglob 23.3

ESTRADIOL 44.9 This is obviously way too high and i’m gonna go out on a limb and say the adex i have is fake although I was taking .2 mg e o d for a week and I started to experience some sides, mainly just extreme irritability, everything seemed irritating to me and i just felt down and didn’t feel like doing anything so i stopped taking the adex and felt better within 2 days. Is it even possible for me to crash my e2 then have it raise that much in such a short amount of time? (2 weeks at the most)

Well my main questions are scattered throughout the lab results as they come up, but my main concerns right now are the ferritin, it seems really really low. Also the CK. I’m not too familiar with it although i’ve read that working out and muscle breakdown can dramatically elevate this number but i just want to be sure and hear from someone else. Obviously I need to get the e2 down but i don’t have another doctor appointment until the 15th and i’d like to get some before then so if anyone wouldn’t mind helping out with that that would be awesome, but if not no big deal i’ll find some.

Also, temp readings, here they are

sun morning 96.8
sun night 12am 97.5

mon. 7:10am 96.4
mon. night 12am 97.9

Tues. 7:10am 96.7
Tues. night 12:40am 98.2

anyone?

bump… It’d be cool if I could get some input, any input before my Dr appointment on the 15th thanks in advance

so here’s a little update/rant, had my Dr visit today … They for some reason had the other endo see me who turned out to be even more un knowledgeable than the first.

he told me that trt does not raise hct… Even the fuckin plabotomist knew it does when I went to donate blood. He also told me that estrogen does not effect libido, only testosterone does, he didn’t even consider prescribing adex, even though over the past couple months I’ve decreased my dosage but yet my estrogen continues to rise… What a surprise right? but I got some through a research company instead so that’s no big deal. Then he goes on to tell me how anastrozole can cause side effects and liver problems hahah, so I guess he figures I’ll be better off with high estrogen, what a joke. This reminds me of when I asked my gp doc to test my estrogen, he looked at me with a weird face and said" estrogen?! You’re not a female!" total ignorance. How do these people become doctors? And just think of all the people that see them and don’t know any better, I truly feel sorry for them and that’s why everyone should research for themselves.

in conclusion, I will not be going back to that office for 2 reasons, 1, I would like to to find a more knowledgeable Dr and 2, I’m moving to the Seattle area next month so if anyone knows of good endos in the area or a website I can go to or anything that would be a big help, thanks.

any insight guys?? Anyone? Would really like to hear some advice on ferritin levels

any insight guys?? Anyone? Would really like to hear some advice on ferritin levels

Low iron and ferreting can be caused from bleeding which can originate from a range of sources such as the intestinal, uterine or urinary tract. (Donation)

Low ferritin can also be caused by hypothyroidism, vitamin C deficiency or celiac disease

how do you think I should raise it? Should I get more tests done?

Id be really greatful if someone could help me with my low ferritin questions. I was thinking about taking a natural supplement called hemo plex that raises ferritin levels. Would this be ok since I am on trt and must donate blood every 2 to 3 months? Would this supplement cause my hemoglobin and hemotocrit to elevate too quickly?? Im getting really discouraged with all this… So many questions…

anyone???
