I am currently on 200 mg of Cyp in grape seed oil a week, 1 mg anastrozole, and 1 mg gonadorelin twice a week. Creatinine and AST are high and don’t want to do any permanent damage to liver and or kidneys. I was advised to take TUDCA, Ox Bile, and NAC. I started taking them for about a month now and haven’t redone blood work yet. They seem to be for liver function. I am looking for suggestions on Kidney function. Supplements, diet, meds, whatever you got. Thank you.
My suggestion is, see your doctor to determine if your elevated Cr is clinically significant (and if it is, to have it worked up).
What’s high? Like really over range, a little over range, in range but top of range?
Post your complete CMP results.
Just posted results from last blood work on highpull’s response.
Thanks. Posted
High protein diet? NSAID use?
Have your doctor look into the anemia.
NSAID? No High Protein. Everything was normal prior to starting TRT.
Looked it up, every so often but not regularly.
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen supraphysiological testosterone levels increase creatine in men, lowering the dosage to a reasonable level should bring down the creatine.
These high creatine levels have even been seen in transgender patients undergoing hormone replacement.
As for your iron deficiency, been there done that twice. It seems if I stop TRT and iron supplementation iron and ferritin climb, but restarting the TRT drops both within a few months.
You could look into getting a cystatin-c test.
Highpull is spot on. If I get my creatinine tested my eGFR shows I have stage one kidney disease. Creatinine is really a measure of muscle breakdown. If you workout or have lots of muscle the number may be high even if your kidneys are functioning normally. This is where the cystatin-c test come in. It’s a better test
Nobody else noticed that he said that he’s taking 2mg anastrozole per week?
His e2 did look low compared to his TT
1 mg anastrozole per week, 2 days after shot
No only 1 mg anastrozole a week.
My creatinine levels where high last month. 1.37 on a range of .76-1.27. my TRT doc said it was probably my creatine supplement causing dehydration. He said I should stop taking it, its destroying my kidneys.
I stopped taking all body building supplements. No Protein no Pre workout, nothing. Going to test again this Wednesday.
