Bloodwork on TRT and Synthroid

Hi guys, I recently had bloodwork done, mostly okay but wanted to see if you have any opinions.

dosage:

  1. 200mg/wk test
  2. 0.112 mg synthroid

bloodwork:

  1. Testosterone - 38.5 nmol/L (8.4-28.8)
  2. E2 (non-sensitive I think) - 156 pmol/L (<162)
  3. TSH - 3.67 mUI/L (0.32-4.00) - this is a little higher than normal for me
  4. Free T4 - 15 pmol/L (9-19)
  5. Free T3 - 4.4 pmol/L (2.6-5.8)
  6. Reverse T3 - 23 ng/dL (8-25)

I think reverse T3 is high, but free T3 is okay so I’m not sure if it requires any modifications. should I try some other form of thyroid medication? Thanks!

If you throw on the reference ranges it would be easier for us to respond.

ah, sure thing!

Looks pretty good. You don’t have a free T value, and typically you want the get the sensitive estradiol as it is more accurate. Next time get SHBG and E2 sensitive.

How are you feeling on your doses?

I would bump up the thyroid dose a little. With thyroid disease myself, TSH seems to be a pretty reliable indicator of my optimal thyroid dose. It would seem like your body is asking for more thyroid hormone even though your FT3 and FT4 look great.

It being your free t3 is great I would retake tsh, free t3 test before change thyroid meds. Tsh can vary during the day.
