Bloodwork: Low Test, Low Estrogen

What harm does hcg do? I’ve mostly only heard good things about it

You can get a man’s T levels jacked up quite a bit with large doses of HCG. However, they will never FEEL optimized compared to men that take a higher dose of T only. HCG also spikes E2 signficantly in a good deal of men which throws off the ratio the body is trying to keep in balance. We have seen issues with libido, E2, night sweats, body and joint pain, acne… most of which were resolved when HCG was stopped. The foundation of TRT is “T”. That is what you want to optimize. Free T in particular (total is more or less irrelevant). Forget the ranges as they are designed for sick people. Also consider optimizing DHEA. Pregnenelone is hit/miss so it’s up to you to see if you feel better or worse on it.

Not to worry man, KSman doesn’t post here anymore. You are responding to a comment from 2 years ago.

Whoops! Saw the lastest comments in the thread… went up to see the history… didn’t realize it went that far back!

Its all good brother. You can talk here all you want

Recent bloodwork for me had DHEA at 211 (70 - 495) and my pregnenolone at 47 (22 - 237). No one has really talked about optimum numbers for these. I started supplementing preg due to it being on the low end but haven’t done anything about DHEA. Im not sure if the preg has made a difference. Still battling a ton of brain fog and memory issues. Where would one shoot for optimum?

Well today is my first official day back on trt levels. I am dropping down from 500 mg a week to 200 mg per week. I injected .5 ml of 200mg/ml this morning and I must admit the lower volume is nice. Easiest injection ive had in a while. I never did any blood testing on this blast which doesnt really bother me. I felt great throughout this time. I’m looking forward to cruising at trt levels for a while.

Nice job brother. You achieved the results you wanted and now its time to cruise for a while.

My latest bloodwork. Bloodwork represents 6 weeks of 150 mg per week split in two doses of 75 mg. Before the 6 weeks of 150 mg I blasted 500 mg of test E a week and 200 mg per week of Masteron E for 16 weeks. On weeks 15 and 16 I ran 50 mg a day Anavar. Met with doc and went over everything. They were happy with the bloodwork and kept everything the same. @NH_Watts

An interesting development. After years and years of having “spells” I finally spoke to my Endo. I explained to them that I have these spells periodically where my whole body especially my hands will start shaking uncontrollably and I will feel faint. Unfortunately it normally happens on the way home from work while I’m driving. I typically have to pull over. I normally go to a gas station and have a bag of chips or something. Once the shaking subsides I head on to the house. They have decided I’m suffering from reactive hypoglycemia and have prescribed me Metformin. They said it may help and it could make it worse. I believe Physio highly recommended Metformin. Ive done some research on it and there seems to be a lot of stuff about blocking mTor pathways and stopping muscle growth. I’m gonna try it and make my own decisions about its usefulness. Anyone have any experience with it and any pointers. They have prescribed Metformin at 500 mg per day at dinner time. @studhammer @NH_Watts @highpull

Im glad they were happy…those numbers are right at the limit! I assume this was trough but they were still ok with it? Thats some pretty low cholesterol. How was HCT? Blood pressure, TSH?

I know that its being touted as a wonder drug for metabolic syndrome. Apparently it helps immensely with insulin sensitivity and therefore blood glucose management. I will have to look into your condition. Never heard of that one.

I didnt realize I missed the CBC. Ive updated it with that part of the panel. 46% HCT. These numbers are trough. The doc was happy with my numbers. Blood pressure was 110/66 measured manually. My arms are to big for their cuff lol.

Essentially, reactive hypoglycemia is a condition that causes your pancreas to over produce insulin when carbohydrates are ingested. Your pancreas dumps out insulin and wipes out your blood sugar and keeps going. It turns into a hypoglycemic event. Ive recently been actively trying to stop these events from occuring but not fully understanding why it was happening. In my ignorance I thought I just needed more carbohydrates to deal with hypoglycemia. Last Thursday I ordered a huge plate of chicken fried rice for lunch. LOTS OF CARBS THERE RIGHT!!!??? I figured if I ate all that id be good till dinner. Next thing I know about 4 hours later I’m about to pass out and shaking uncontrollably. I slammed a coke which is a tactic to increase your blood sugar quickly but puts you on a roller coaster ride. Doc says I have to go super low carb and split the carbs up throughout the day.

Thats interesting. Are you still doing cream of rice preworkout? Is this dizziness new?

No on the cream of rice. Discontinued a while back along with the intraworkout carb drink. I felt like it helped my workout but I was so wiped out afterward I could barely get to work. I would go back to the house and get back in bed. I’m guessing it was related to this condition. Great during the lift. Super lethargic right after. The dizziness is not new. Ive had spells like this as long as I can remember. Over the past couple years they have become more frequent and more intense. I remember having a really bad one last year on the way to thanksgiving dinner. When I got to their house I ate an entire coffee cake in an effort not to pass out. I was panicking.

No experience with what you describe. I know some who pretty much think everyone should be using metformin. While I am not there, I do not see a problem with you trying it. Good luck, the alternative, doing nothing, is not an option.

That’s not entirely accurate. The doc said I could get by with just the diet adjustments and avoiding high carb meals. I’ll decide for myself if its worth it. There seem to be quite a few benefits from the medication.

Did you ask the dr if U can take medication short term ?
