Bloodwork Help - Why Have I Been So Tired?

Hi all. Long story short – for the past year, my energy levels have plummeted. I’m 35. I’m at a pretty healthy weight, and I try and exercise 6x a week, although in the last few months, that’s been tough because my energy levels are shit.

I went to my PCP and all my blood work was fine (he didn’t test for testosterone). I’ve been prescribed Modafinil/Vyvanse to help with the fatigue, with limited results. I was literally taking 400 mg caffeine, 200mg modafinil, and nicotine and falling asleep after.

So I went to a quasi-reputable men’s clinic to get tested. Here are the results:

CBC - 5.6 RBC - 4.2 Hemoglobin 13.8 HEMATOCRIT 39.7 MCHC 34.8 PLATELET - 227 LYMPHOCYTES % - 33.1 LYMPHOCYTES # 1.9 MONOCYTES % 9.9 MONOCYTES # 0.6 LH 4.8 Test 322 SHBG 64.4 Free test (not test, per formula) 4.04

My PCP kind of rolled his eyes when I mentioned low T, whereas, at the clinic the script was basically written before the results just based on symptoms. I wish I could find someone in between the two. The clinic does seem a bit less aggressive in their dosing and are big on testing. They’d start with 60mg twice a week.

Any advice as to where to go from here? Sorry for the newb questions.

This isn’t a treatment for low-T, it’s for an attention deficit disorder. A total T of 322 and an SHBG at 64 and your Free T has got to be abysmally low! Your testing has your Free T percentage at 1.22 % with 2-3 percent being normal.

I think it’s ridiculous that your doctor prescribed Modafinil/Vyvanse for fatigue, goodlord!

That’s a really good starting dosage. So my advice is to have patience and don’t expect immediate results.

Stay with it and see how you respond.
