Where did you learn this stuff??? Find the person who taught you this and slap them please.
E2 levels have no effect on testosterone levels. Testosterone converts to E2. The more testosterone you have, the more E2 you will have. That’s a normal process. They both remain in balance with each other.
No assumptions being made here. Thousands uoin thousands of patients and it has not been an issue for a single one. Not ONE. This stuff is so ridiculously simple to do that you guys insist on making it complicated for no reason whatsoever. I was just like you so I understand how you are thinking about this. Just surprised that it is taking you this long to realize that what we were taught was completely false. If you want to block your estrogen, have fun and knock yourself out. Doesn’t change my life whatsoever.
Some people are just snorers like me. I had the sleep study done and it came back with very mild apnea. Doc said it was due to my large uvula, still have my tonsils, and a slightly deviated septum. A dental device has been a game changer. No more snoring = restful sleep.
Most of the docs I deal with do a starting dose of 30mg daily as they have found that the majority of men they deal with do quite well on that dose. For the rest, they either require less and some require more. So 30mg is a good starting dose as it is the most likely outcome.
@NH_Watts by the way, when I did my experiments raising testosterone to much higher levels, my snoring got worse. Eric Serrano told me that the higher levels of T actually affect that gland in your throat (the specific name escapes me) which affects snoring. When I brought my levels back down, the snoring went back to normal. I had to sleep in another room because I was keeping my wife awake.
The doc I used back when I started didn’t know what free T was so we didn’t measure it
The last time I had labs done I was doing 250mg a week, daily subq, and free T was 28 ng/dL. I have since bumped up to 300mg but have not done labs. The remaining issues I had have since disappeared. Still no idea why I need a dose that high as most guys would have double the lab numbers I get, if not more.
Is there any way possible that you could move to more frequent injections for awhile? I do my subq shots daily and they literally take me 60 seconds to do. It takes me longer to brush my teeth if anything.
Why are you taking Tamoxifen?
Based on everything I know, and if I was in your shoes, I know that I would bump up my T dose a bit more. Instead of the 130 weekly I’d probably go to roughly 175mg a week and then assess after 6-8 weeks once everything stabilizes. But that’s ME.
Definitely get Free T3 and Free T4 done the next time.
Experimental really. Since it slightly stims LH and FSH release I wanted to see how I would do on it. I cant say I have noticed much difference but maybe I need more since its usually 10mg to 20mg ED.
Ive been as high as 220mg a week injecting EOD but didnt notice much of a difference.
I would strongly suggest stopping the tamoxifen entirely. Keep in mind that you may go through an adjustment period. You may feel worse before you feel better. Have faith in the process.
You could probably use an increase in T (I think my 175mg a week total is accurate based on what I know of you so far).
I have a hunch you would do well with optimizing thyroid. I’ll be 46 in February. My free T3 was smack dab in the middle of the clinical range. I began thyroid (started VERY gradually) and it has definitely helped with fatigue. I used to get rather sleepy in the afternoon and this has helped tremendously.
I could take or leave the Tamoxifen. Just trying to get some volume back in my ejac. Its a bit better but not sure if its due to this drug. Ive used it and dropped it before so no biggie.
I will bump it up and go ED for a while and see how I feel in 6 weeks.
Are you taking porcine thyroid? Given my TSH I hadnt considered it could be the cause.
The doc I am using was only able to give a T3/T4 mix. It works, but not as good as the real desiccated thyroid.
Look at free T3 the way you look at free testosterone. People give me their total testosterone levels which, for me, is useless. I want to see that free T. Free T3 is the same. Even if you fall within the clinical range for free T3, if you have all the symptoms of low thyroid you can do a trial run of thyroid to see if it resolves your issue. Same thing with testosterone. If you have healthy levels, but have all the symptoms of low T, you can try a trial run of TRT to see if it resolves your symptoms.
I will get the testing done when I see them on sale. In the meantime I will bump a bit and go ED for a while. Im a little fat and recently quit booze so lots of changes happening.
