BLM Donation Scandal

You cannot make a blanket policy here. There are some real monsters out there. A month for murder? There are cases with no witnesses and no more than circumstantial proof that may fit in to that category. Then there are ones where their is overwhelming evidence and though you have that evidence it still has to collated and people prepared for trial witch certainly takes more than a month.
I don’t know if you’ve ever had the misfortune of being around or near truly hardened criminals, but they are truly scary people. They ooze evil, it gives you chills down your spine. You don’t want these guys out there. They are trying that experiment in CA and the place is falling apart.
I am for proportional justice and containment. No too lenient and not to harsh.
Like it or not, in most cases over the years, the system has functioned very well, though it’s still far from perfect. And there is reform needed in many areas.
The problem with the Jan 6 crowd, though there are some who deserve to be in prison, there are many that aren’t. And this is the first time in my life time at least, that the government is holding people for political crimes.
If you are rotting in solitary for over a year, charged with trespassing and disturbing the peace, there is no way to convince me that is not politically motivated.
With DHS creating the Dept. of Misinformation, we are in truly scary times. I know you will think I am exaggerating or something, don’t take my word for it, look it up.

Lololol… I love the irony of self loathing white mental defects willingly enriching these subhuman parasites

It’s interesting to me that the right believes that unborn humans are the most precious humans in the world that need all the protection, and that humans who have 30+ years on this earth deserve to be called ‘subhuman parasites’. I guess I don’t understand the concept of pro-life if a an adult human falls into this particular category. I thought the idea was essentially, that from conception (or shortly after), you are a human until your death. Do I misunderstand this position? Does your humanity get revoked if you use fundraising money inappropriately?

Actions can classify you as something other than human imo. Taking people’s money for a noble cause and spending it on yourself for personal gain is pretty high on the shitty list. Huge difference between a life that hasn’t had a chance and one that has had 30 years of chances and chose wrong. I would rather give new life a chance and write off the fuck up who has had 30+ years to figure out how to act right.

It isn’t like Hitler or anything, but it is still bad.

Do you think people like murderers and child molesters are still human? I don’t.

I think they’re human. They’re just humans who do bad things. Maybe some can even be redeemable.

I think so.

Unborn humans are inherently the most sacred (non-religious meaning) beings on the face of the planet, because they are our future and have not done anything wrong. If anyone or anything deserved to be protected: it is them.

If someone abuses the rule of law at age 30, I believe they are unfit to lead - but given that all politicians seem to stay in politics for eternity, they need to be Hillary’d to stop the problem from propetuating.

Don’t get into roles to make rules for others that you won’t follow yourself. I think that’s a pretty reasonable ask.

I was reading about Ashoka yesterday. Pretty terrible guy in his first part of his reign as the emperor of India. Lacked empathy, tortured prisoners and people he didn’t like. I think he may have killed off his brothers to ensure he became emperor.

He slaughtered a ton of people to take over a new region. He realized what he was doing was wrong, and did a 180. He is considered as perhaps one of India’s greatest rulers. Known as Ashoka the Great.

A few of the things he did were way ahead of his time. Stuff like creating a social safety network for his people, healthcare was a right, conservation measures for nature and wildlife, numerous infrastructure projects…

Dude not every white person is a self loathing reject. Stop with your racism.

It is interesting though IMO. I think it is generally accepted that you don’t punish the child for the sins of their father. Some people seem to want to punish themselves for the sins of their great, great grandfather’s acquaintance. Or feel personal guilt over it. Everyone can do that if they go back far enough though. Pretty much every culture did shitty things by today’s standards, and some still do.

I am of the opinion that we should do some things to help out less fortunate people, but I don’t think feeling personally responsible is necessary or rationally supported.
