BLM Donation Scandal

Something we always knew. It was a personal account for the people in the organization to use at their leisure. Why? Because none of it went anywhere. Except ActBlue.

That. + CRT, environmental authoritarianism (don’t have babies, it hurts the planet), BLM, and radical gender theory. These are the gods of the left. And if you dare to insult any of them, they will cancel you, destroy you, hurt you. That’s why, when I say it’s a cult, I am not being facetious.
For instance, renounce your whiteness is akin to baptism. Confessing racism is confession. Embrace victimhood status is like confirmation. And adopting pronouns is the bread of life. And rallies where you all raise your hands and renounce your individualism for the collective and speak in unison is church. But if you violate any of it’s tenants at any time, these gods never forgive and never forget and you get excommunicated to the ‘alt-right’.

I’ve often wondered what would happen if conservatives started claiming to believe in everything that libbies believe in… Would the lefties start adoping conservative views whilst claiming to be liberal?
reverse-psychology and all that

They adopt you and use you like Cheney and the Lincoln project. And when they have extracted your usefulness, they cast you out like a leper. The goal is power and separation. Anything going against those goals are to be purged, that’s why they persue policies with nice sounding names that actually hurt people, especially the most vulnerable. It’s all about the transfer of power and class. Power and class are extremely seductive.

UPDATE:
BLM-backed group posts bail for Louisville activist charged in attempted shooting of mayoral candidate | Washington Examiner

Do you think he should have been denied bail altogether? Why, or why not?

Anyone that has murdered, attempted murder, raped, kidnapped or child molested should be denied bail

How would you go about determining if that person had done those things?

What happens if we deny bail to a suspect, and a jury finds them not guilty? In that case we punished a person that should not have been punished.

What do we do to keep the government from abusing the power that such a policy would grant them? It is often years between arrest and trial. This power could be used to keep people with no trial sitting in jail for years.

No, I don’t think he should have been denied bail. I DO think if BLM wanted to do a better job of not showing their cards - they would stop using their funds to help criminals charged with violent crimes though.
It comes off as BLM supporting all black on white violence, which was a strong criticism of the organization from the start.

And there is an issue of itself…it should not take years to go to trial

if you are found not guilty then the accuser should pay reparations to the suspect

I understand your point and its makes perfect sense…but, there are too many criminals repeating crimes because they are out on bail…at least until this issue is resolved

agreed

disagree. There should be punishment for false accusers though.

I also think a worse miscarriage of justice is imprisoning the innocent. The burden of proof is, and always should be “beyond a reasonable doubt”; this means if one could doubt the evidence - the suspect ought not to see the inside of a cell.

It should be fixed IMO.

I agree with you in part. There are some situations where we know with certainty that the suspect is guilty and the trial is a formality. The real question is the sentencing. I am not opposed to having some sort of procedure for individuals like that, which denies bail to them. I do think it needs to be fairly black and white with very little subjectivity.

I will admit that the reparations payment by the accuser to the suspect was an on the spur of the moment thought…i honestly don’t know what should be done in this scenario

what i do know is that there are too many crimes being commited by individuals that are out on bail or they were released without bail…repeat offenders

I.e. the asian woman that was stabbed to death 40 times, the suspect has been arrested 26 times and was out on supervised bail

The asian model that was beaten and the suspect had a long list of arrests…out on bail

an asian senior lady that was knocked out from behind and later died, suspect with long rap sheet not yet apprehended…out on bail

just to name a few

I agree that these suspects ought not to be given bail, but the situations listed don’t align with the Quintez Brown case (he wasn’t a repeat offender).
Repeat offenders (for violent crimes) should still be given bail - to an extent. The bail amount needs to be significantly higher on each repeated offense, and anything past 3 offenses (subjective) shouldn’t receive the option for bail at all.
If more than one conviction for violent crime - I would say no bail.

These are entirely personal beliefs that probably need much revision before being used as a blanket statement for all cases.

Marvin Guy weeps.

The government will certainly do this if they can get away with it. Non citizens don’t have the right to a trial. We have people that are in custody that haven’t had a trial in decades, mostly (I hypothesize) because the government thinks they are guilty but can’t prove it.

Being held in jail without bail can easily turn into “political prisoner” situations with virtually no proof or recourse. It is a very slippery slope

what then happens if he does become a repeat offender and commits another crime…as all the articles that i have read is he is an activist with mental health issues…that is not good sign with him being out on bail

Should the accused suspect along with the individuals and/or organization that posted bail be held accountable if another crime is commited

Thats actually happening with some of the so called jan 6 insurrectionist

They both are already.
If you post bail then jump - you will not get that money back.
If you commit a crime while out on bail, you will be charged for that crime too.

I’m aware of this, I just leave it alone because there’s no way to defend them without coming off as an insurrectionist yourself.
