Blind Spot in Right Eye, How Potentially Serious?

Simple rule I live by. If it has anything to do with my eyes and there’s even a modicum of chance of me losing vision - I;m seeing an expert. Stat.

Trust me, no one who has experienced this has thought of anything else. The first time it happens the first thought is you are going blind. Now I just wait them out and since it has been at least a couple of years since the last time I had one, I hope I never experience it again. It feels weird even writing about it because I didn’t know anyone else who had it.

When I’ve gotten them, I have found that the muscles around my eyes are very tense, as are my traps and neck muscles. I usually try to sit alone in a dark, quiet room and massage my neck muscles (the little ones way at the top of my neck) and traps and stretch my neck. They usually subside when doing this. I’ve also found that computer time is a contributor and for some reason, overcast skies as opposed to sunny or dark. They take between 10 minutes and 1 hour to go away for me.

Edit: what I get looks like the 2nd example posted above.

lol no joke. I’m lucky, my dads a doctor, one uncle is an optometrist, and ones a dentist. I pretty much have all bases covered lol.

The eye check ups always freak me out, I always expect him to tell me I’m going blind.

Good luck Bonez

This is interesting.

My left trap and the left side of my neck has been extremely stiff the past few days. Mostly because I’ve had my arm propped up on something, either while driving 1.5+ hours at a time or having my arm up while typing my paper. I’ve been trying to stretch it and roll my head around slowly but it wont loosen up. I’m going to keep working on it.

At this point my vision is completely normal again. I am struggling to identify a blind spot in either eye. It’s not something I’m worried about but I’ll still see a doc just in case.

I’ve hasd that happen 6-7 times to me. All of them have been since I started high school in '02. Sometimes I vomit after getting the headache. The last couple times, I refused to let the vomiting happen. I defenately think it’s a lot to do with lack of sleep / looking at screens. Prof. I don’t know how much time daily you spend on your computer, but that may have something to do with it. The last time it happened to me, I had watched a couple movies on my computer, then had a 6 hour mario kart wii session with some friends, and then only slept like 4 and a half hours. Glad I’m not totally fucked up for having this.
