I have a hard time eating eggs by themselves, so I was wondering if I could throw them in a blender with some other stuff to hopefully solve this problem. Would I be able to do that? Does anyone know a good combo of stuff to mix together that tastes good?
When I was a kid I used to have put milk, an egg or two, a banana and chocolate syrup in the blender and drink it. It was delicious. Thats not very healthy but heres an idea:
skim milk, egg or two, banana, chocolate whey or Metabolic Drive stuff.
Eggs have a very weak taste, so pretty much any protein powder will mask them. I used to eat them with just a packet of stevia too. And we’re talking at least 6 eggs. Go big or go home man!
Here’s a shake of mine that tastes pretty good.
Milk
Ice
4 eggs
Whey protein powder (vanilla tastes best imo)
Peanut Butter
1-2 Bananas
Oats
Blueberries (if I have them)
Anyone have a low-carb egg shake recipe?
My breakfast lately has often consisted of a fast whey (100% isolate) shake followed 15-30 minutes later by 4 eggs scrambled and a bowl of salad mix (mostly romaine lettuce, a little cabbage and carrot) on the side.
It would be great to combine the fast whey and eggs into one shake to save on time in the morning.
Does PB blend well? I was thinking maybe I would try 4 eggs, milk, and PB since that’s really the only things I have that are good, I don’t have any fruits at my house right now. Would you only need a small amount of PB for a shake?

Yeah, generally the PB taste overpowers everything else so you only need a little bit. I mean, you can use more if you really want to and overpower the whole shake.
I’ve been doing this in the morning…
1 scoop Grow! whey
1-2 eggs (I never use more than 2 eggs in a morning shake b/c i eat two eggs for breakfast)
1/2 tablespoon natural PB
packet of splenda
3-4 oz of black coffee
or instead of the coffee use
1/4 cup cottage cheese
1/8 cup fat free cream cheese
but I wouldn’t use the coffee in that or else it doesn’t taste good. But the cream cheese makes it taste like cheesecake filling, add water to make it less thick and easier to blend.
And you can always add whatever supplements to this like creatine, BCAA, etc.
So, when blending the eggs, they should be raw right? From what I have known for most of my life, raw eggs aren’t as healthy as cooked eggs, but I would put your guy’s opinion over my knowledge.

There’s currently an ongoing thread on this topic.
I recommend checking it out.
