Blasting and Cruising at 48 on HRT - Beginner's Cycle Log

Looking forward to tomorrow’s workout. Began taking BCCA’s as well.

Would there be any reason not to split my 2.4mL of 250mg/mL gear into daily shots of .35mL? My left glute shot is starting to bug me. Right never an issue, for some reason the upper left glute shot doesn’t go as easy (getting the 1.5" needle in) - it can hurt enough sometimes I need to stop and redirect.

I was thinking of shooting in my quads to give my glutes a break with tuberculin syringes, but that would require a smaller dose hence the question above.

I’m sorry if you provided this before but what gage needle are you drawing and pinning with? I assume you are sticking yourself?

Drawing with a 28ga and shooting with a 28ga (new one) off a 3mL syringe.

I draw my T cyp with a 21g and shoot with a 25g. I asked about if you glute shot yourself, as I do, because it’s hard to do. I’m not a load but also not a contortionist. I think all the flexing and wiggling I do does more damage then the needle itself.

Smart move on your part with a fresh sharp needle.

Given that the left is a harder site for me to reach that could be part of it, like my glute is flexed more or something.

I’m finally starting to gain weight. I’m stronger as well. Flippin’ finally. Never going to cycle without an oral start again or a short chain esther.

PR’d incline bench. Doing all my pullup and chinup sets w/o assistance, dumbbell lifts going up 5-10lbs.

My weight is up about 5 lbs, according to the freaky scale my bf % is dropping. Looking in the mirror seemingly I’m losing definition and gaining size, the loss of definition is visible the gaining of size not so much - however my weight is going up.

In other news when I draw next weeks pins I’m thinking of switching to daily T pins, I’ll try it for a week, see how it goes.

Good to hear! How do your muscles feel? You should have a full/ skin tight feeling by now.

Interesting. I don’t know I’d call it that but I certainly am more aware of my body, it’s like I can “feel” my muscles. But that could just be the burn from today’s workout. I was hungrier today than I’ve been in a long time, I ate everything in sight. Kinda went off the res a bit and ate a gluten free baguette  normally I avoid all grains.

Rawr!

Beginning my 6th week:

Measured myself today with an electronic tape, same one I used before I started the cycle. I’ve grown this month, mostly in my shoulders and neck. I was hoping for more arm, leg and chest growth. Hopefully I’m just getting started. Still eating like a horse.

Bodypart 6/19/13 8/1/13
Chest 41.5 41.7
Biceps 12.6 12.7
Thigh 19.9 22.1
Waist 34.1 34.6
Calf 14.1 14.2
Hips 36.5 36.7
Shoulders 46.3 47.1
Neck 15.7 16.4

You should be feeling it kickin in. For me week 8 was the eye-opener.

Hope that’s the case…

Starting 8th week of this blast. Everything status quo. Still strong in gym. Still feel workouts for a couple of days. Not feeling like an animal, but I got crappy rest last week being in 7x24 for a week with many late night wake ups. Being ratcheting calories, again I feel like I’m losing definition, and gaining little if any weight. Hovering around 182lbs. Scale says bf% dropping.

Last night had my first experience with pip. Think I hit a previous injection site in my glute, it leaked a little. Going to shoot delts for a few weeks.

God knows. Hope that as others have said the 8th week will be the beginning.

Something is just not right.

Or maybe my expectations need to be managed.

183lbs on the scale this morning. That’s maybe 3-4 lbs of gain in my 9th week. I’m eating, exercising and resting. I’m growing, but very, very slowly. Only thing I can think is occurring is that I’m recomposing my mass to what it should have been to begin with. I’m 3.5 weeks from the end of this blast.

The only good that is coming from this is that I’m stronger and that I haven’t blown up like a blimp. I’m more vascular, and more defined, but not really that much bigger. Tape shows gains in the .25-1" range. At this rate after 4-5 cycles I might be the size I’d like

Next cycle will include different compounds, maybe a dbol kickstart a trt dose of t-cyp, the balance in t-prop. How long do you folks recommend that I cruise at my TRT dose before going at this again?

Nice to see your update.
Did you ever get mid cycle bloods done ? Can you post results if so ?
My gut still says Cyp doesn’t work for you. Glad to see you are thinking about
giving Prop a whirl. As a side note, its what I use for TRT and Blast.
Maybe you can try it on cruise.

If you are on TRT for life, you don’t have to wait all that long between cycles…but give it
6-8 weeks.

Good Luck.

At this point I’m willing to try everything. However 180mg/week t-cyp put me in the ~1400 TT range, so it doesn’t make that much sense. In any case, I’m mostly worried about the fast acting esthers and the possibility for huge peaks and valleys when on TRT only.

My bloodwork should be ready by tomorrow. Pretty sure that it’ll show me above 1500 TT and FT in the 60 range. E2 should be good and low. I’ll post’em as soon as I get 'em.

Bloodwork back.

TT >1500 348-1197
FreeT 52 6.8-21.5
E2 6.8 7.6-42.6
Psa 1.7 0-4
Shbg 16 16.5-55.9

Good hematocrit.

Gains aren’t stellar but OK. I think my low e2 may be to blame. I’m dropping from .5 every day to .15 every day to try to get back into the sweet zone mid20s. I used the following formula to calculate my new dosage (.5x6.8)/22=0.15

Still here.

12 days left on this blast. I really think that my beat down on e2 has limited my potential gains. I am just now starting to see what looks like more serious progress. I “feel” bulkier and certainly look that way in the mirror. I’m going to measure again on Oct 1 and see what my gains look like. I guess I shouldn’t be too disappointed with looks to end up being a .75" gain for biceps and 1.25" gain for shoulders. Hardening up as well.

Strength still increasing, adding weight every session, not to every exercise, but some.

Again, really think having very low e2 has affected this cycle’s potential gains.

You live and learn as they say.

I guess the time went quick, I remember your first post since my timing was almost the same.
Congrads on the numbers, I would love 3/4" on my biceps. What doses are you ending with?

I’ve been following your log as a guest (I just signed up to T-Nation) I have been lurking a while. I am 42 and on TRT as well (200mg week). I have been thinking of blasting soon with a simple 500mg wk of Test-C for 12 weeks. It was interesting checking out your log.

I’d mis-calculated my 12 weeks. End of cycle was Sunday.

Today I dropped back down to TRT dose. Going to continue on cycle dose of anastrazole for a couple of weeks, then go back to .25 e2d as per TRT protocol.

I’m considering starting another blast in late November with an oral kickstart of good ole’ dbol. I’ll see if I can get my hands on some t-prop for that one - although I have another couple cycles worth of t-cyp.

I’ll measure in a couple of weeks and post up final numbers. I guess 3/4" for biceps is good - but keep in mind this is my first ever cycle. I’ve heard of much greater gains from other folks’ logs. Seeing as I’m practically ancient by this board’s standards I should count my blessings
