I decided to completely switch things up and squat last in my workout as opposed to first. So, here is how it went…
Walking Lunges: 70,80,90,100,110lbs sets of 8 each
Dumbbell Step Ups: 25,30,35 sets of 8
Squats: (Pause squats) 135x8 185x8 225x8 Then I decided to see how many reps- without pausing- I could get with 225. Apparently the answer is 21. After all of the other stuff I did I was super pumped!
Single Leg SLDL: 25,30,35 sets of 8
Like I said, I was super pumped for this squat day! It felt awesome to push to that failure on squats. Well I would call it positive failure without a spot having to help me. It was super intense!
Yesterday Upper Body Workout: (I didnt go super crazy because I went pretty heavy Wednesday and will probably lift for my bench again this Wednesday)
Jumping Pullup/Push Up Combo (Close Neutral Grip): 4x5
Incline DB Bench: Sets of 6: 25lb,35,45,55
Standing OHP: 4x10 65lbs
The end.
I got some good interval cardio in also but I wasnt looking for epic with the liftng. It felt pretty good tho, I have never done that heavy on incline db press. (I havent even done incline for about 3 years I bet.)
Do you mind if I steal your good morning style (I’ll give you credit)?
Also you said something about widening your squatting stance. Try using a band or a dip belt around the mid point of your quads with a slightly wider stance and do body weight squats. As your doing them try to pull the bank/belt apart throughout the movement. Progress by increasing your stance distance and increasing band resistance. This will help with your hips in the widening of your stance. You may also need to work on your lower posterior chain since a closer stance squat is quad dominant.
Keep up the good word Wendy!! It’s been a while…but I check u’r log every now and then…very inspiring…and motivating…and yess…beast mode is what it should always be called…
Ohh…and how come everyone is gets to watch the GM’s and not me…? Did you remove the link??LOL

So this is like the most random post ever, but one of the fitness pages I follow posted your avi pic on facebook and I was like “I wonder what BWG is up to?”…Looks like the answer is kicking ass, as usual.

Wait what? Isn’t your max like 300 or low 300’s? That is an insane work capacity. Over 20 reps with like 70-75% of your max. I would literally die. You’re freaking me out.

I just referred someone to her log because this is such a phenomenal feat.

No I dont mind at all!! Let me know how it works for you! I have to play with my squat stance width. I have narrow hips and will only squat in a way that is as “good for me” as possible. I am not willing to risk any chronic problems just to squat wider. We will see how it goes

225x21?? I’m a bit envious of those squats.[/quote]
Hey there stranger! What fitness page do you follow? And what pic was posted? And thank you for checking in on me! How have you been? And I try to kick ass as much as possible, thank you for the kind words

Yes the most I have ever squatted is 320. I have a ridiculous amount of endurance vs strength in my legs so I am able to push “heavy” weight for a decent amount of reps. Unfortunately there is a drastic drop off at my top end so I am trying to work on that. It also helps that I love to squat to failure. Sick, I know

Single Leg SLDL: 4x6 35lb,45lb,50lb,50lb
super set with
Hopping Barbell Stepups: 30lbs 4x12
That was it! Lol…when I go high on weight and volume I dont do a lot of accessory movements. Especially since I havent done more than 255 since my meet. It felt awesome to get some decent weight on my back. BENCH day today!

It was the truck pulling pic. It was on the “Andreia Brazier Physique Model” page.
I’ve been good. Competed in my first physique comp last month and now I’m just working on getting bigger and stronger. The big numbers in here are nice motivation.
