To My knowledge I don’t have any black ancestors, yet I get very dark in the summer if I try to? Why is it that some people who are white can get very dark, but others just burn? My one buddy literally will burn in 10 minutes outside in the NY summer sun. It’s not even that intense and it would take me a whole day early in the season with no base tan to get a mild burn. Once I start to get a base I just don’t burn unless I go to florida or something.
I may have native american in me from some point but my other bloodlines are very caucasian. Grandfather was at least 50% french (Lemieux) may have had some native american on his mothers side. His wife was off the boat from the Ukraine (Yarosz) 100% Ukrane. My other Grandmother was descendant from the English (Miller) and my other Grandfather was also English and Scottish (Briggs). Those are the main bloodlines, though no one alive can say if there wasn’t anything else in the bloodlines before that point. I have never did much searching though, I might be able to dig up some relavant info on a geneology website or something.

Explain to me why chimps and other primates have white skin. If dark skin is linked intrinsically to the loss of body hair, then why do Asians have little amount of hair?

I mean I do get kind of disgusted by racism, but for some reason no one ever seems to realize that there are a whole lot of blacks who are racist. My wife is Taiwanese, and the ONLY people that have made racial slurs against her since I have known her have been blacks.

If you have any pictures of your Ukrainian grandmother, and/or any of her parents or siblings, it might be interesting to check any such pictures for relatively high cheekbones and small eyes compared to most caucasians. Mongols and Tatars invaded that area around eight hundred years ago, and some modern-day Ukrainians have traces of that in their faces. My mother has high cheekbones and small eyes for a “white” woman.

I’m going to guess they need more direct sunlight to produce sufficient vitamin D, they are probably more likely to suffer immune suppression from vitamin D deficiency than white people in colder environments where everyone stays inside wearing lots of clothes and there isn’t much sunlight anyway.

Yes, the family trait is very high cheekbones. Cool, so I’m part Mongoloid! I fucking rule then. Must also be where I get my occasional bloodlust and desire to wander the plains as a nomad.
On another side not, my great grandparents must have taken some shit for being french, they changed the pronunciation of thier name Lemieux from Lem-Yew, to Lem-E-Oh. It’s quite funny.

They don’t, really. Young chimps are pink-skinned (where they aren’t covered in hair), but adults are darker. Gorillas are blacker than the blackest “black” humans.
