You mean like those at Fox constantly calling Obama various false things?

Here’s Chris Matthews gushing over Bush:

Kind of like him mocking bush for holding hands but never brought up Obama bowing?

Edit: we can go back and forth with examples like this, the biggest difference is that MSN has guys like Mathews as anchors for election coverage.

Both are Bias as the Klan and the Nation of Islam(Farrakahns group).

I would have no issue with either station if they would take the word “News” off the tittle and confess to being 100% Commentary based.

Damn, what a mess this trial is going to be:

Four witnesses in the Trayvon Martin case have changed their stories, some “in ways that may damage” George Zimmerman, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

According to records released last week in the second-degree murder case, the witnesses–all of them neighbors–were interviewed multiple times by police and special prosecutors about what they saw on Feb. 26, the night Zimmerman fatally shot Martin in Sanford, Fla.

Four days after the shooting, one woman told police she “saw two guys running” and then “a fistfight–just fists, I don’t know who was hitting who.” But on March 20, she told investigators she saw just one person.
“I couldn’t tell you if it was a man, a woman, a kid, black or white,” the woman, “Witness 2,” said. “I couldn’t tell you because it was dark and because I didn’t have my contacts on or glasses. I just know I saw a person out there.”

Another witness, who was initially interviewed on March 20, said she saw two people on the ground immediately after the shooting, but was not sure who was on top.
But in another interview with investigators six days later, the paper reported, she was sure: It was Zimmerman on top.

“I know after seeing the TV of what’s happening, comparing their sizes, I think Zimmerman was definitely on top because of his size,” the woman, “Witness 12,” said.

A third witness, “Witness 6,” told police on the night of the shooting he saw a black man on top of a lighter-skinned man “just throwing down blows on the guy, MMA-style.” He said the light-skinned man was calling for help. Interviewed later by investigators, he said he was not sure who was calling for help, and is not sure any punches were thrown.

A fourth witness also interviewed on the night of the shooting said he heard the shooting, ran outside, and saw Zimmerman standing with “blood on the back of his head.” According to “Witness 13,” Zimmerman told him that Martin “was beating up on me, so I had to shoot him.”

A month later, the same witness described Zimmerman’s demeanor: “[It was] not like ‘I can’t believe I just shot someone!’ It was more like, ‘Just tell my wife I shot somebody,’ like it was nothing.”

I don’t see how this is going to be negative to Zimmerman though. Witnesses changing their story are generally not considered credible.

I’m pretty sure Zimmerman’s going to walk. But he won’t be free.

Agreed. It just means you can’t trust those witnesses…but maybe they mean no one reliable at all can support Zimmerman’s statement that Trayvon was top of him or anything else.

It is basically coming down to “he said”/ “trayvon’s dead body said”.

I don’t know what the normal reaction is after shooting someone, and I (legally) shot several people in the military.

I admit being rather blase about it.

I think my immediate reaction (being in a hostile civilian area at the time) was to take care of business and do my best not to get killed myself and to call in the shoot.

Yeah…because you were a soldier. They train us to be ready for stuff like that. They train cops like that too.

Zimmerman was not military or a cop. He was a wannabe who ran after a kid with a gun without taking into account all of the ways that could backfire on him.

Yeah, I would like to know what someone that untrained was acting like after their own actions ended with someone dying.

^^shock?

Some people just react differently than others would in the same situation.

Upon really visualizing the events, I think if I were in Zimmerman’s shoes, my first reaction after killing Martin would be a sudden and fleeting feeling of relief.

People react differently.

I’ve seen veteran special forces guys who puked before and after fire fights (and one shitter — we always made him go last before we went out on patrol because it was so fucking nasty).

And I’ve seen green infantry that shot people like it was a video game, and then proceed to play video games of shooting people back at base.

+++++

The oddest thing to me was “one shot and stop.” It reeks of shock and inexperience.

If this was me (although I would have never exited the vehicle or done many of the dumbass things he did), I would have emptied that pistol into Martin in about 4-5 seconds, then proceeded to stomp on his neck.

Does this really help either side?

I would think all this means is that those witness story credibility will not be something to hang your hat on, especially the story that changed after having seen “what happened” on TV.

It’s interesting that you should say that. Having seen first hand both regular patrol and tactical officers engaged in force on force simulation training, tactical officers will tend to fire 1-2 (highly effective) shots, then move and reassess while regular patrol officers seem more prone to releasing multiple shots.

The same seems to hold (somewhat) true in live gunfights. It seems to be related to the level of emotional arousal involved.

More training/experience = less arousal = fewer (more accurate and effective) shots.

Perhaps in police situation. In the military, overkill is SOP, unless low in ammo.

We fired so much ammo that we were generally perceived to be a much larger fighting force than we were, resulting in prompt surrender.

'Federal civil-rights investigators interviewed dozens of George Zimmerman’s friends, neighbors and co-workers, and no one said he was a racist, records released Thursday show.

FBI agents spread out across the state, talking to three dozen people…None said he or she had ever known him to show racial bias.’

Because closet racist don’t exist…

Not saying he is or isn’t but this doesn’t mean anything

Yup, sure is a closet racist:

Is “closet” lost on you somehow? Lol

You know how many social workers I’ve heard drop Nbombs after leaving a black families house to drop off food and clothes vouchers?

Everybody is racist at some point…and will continue to do so.

It means several things my dear. It means the prosecution submitted their affidavit claiming Zimmerman ‘profiled’ Trayvon even though they had absolutely no evidence to substantiate that accusation. Furthermore, it means they withheld information on the extensive background check the state and federal authorities did on Zimmerman which showed absolutely no evidence whatsover of him ever being a racist - quite the contrary. So what does that mean? It means he must be a closet racist…or else lots of people look extremely stupid don’t they?
