Such as? A free lunch? Explain how I could have 18 year old seniors who could barely read. Who exactly was passing them? More importantly, why? You say you know people who are involved in inner city school systems and they say everything is fine on their end. Yeah, I don’t doubt they would say that as they don’t want to admit they are failing. Administrators are the worst offenders because they are basically politicians who only care about stats and numbers, not actually educating someone. I am no longer there so I am not afraid to tell the truth about what goes on.
LOL! Every school has retards. The entitlements are public info, free to see. Plenty of inner city kids who choose to care move to better stations in life. Helpless retards don’t count, in any district.
You are being ridiculous.

“The System” hangs on what came before it. “The System” was the same one paying the parents of children in the late 70’s and 80’s less money than their white counterparts. Many of these issues weren’t even resolved until the 90’s. Your take on things would be like wondering why the children of abusive homes often grow up to be abusive parents themselves.

Plenty of inner city kids today are still dealing with issues that are the aftermath of a country literally designed to keep blacks from succeeding…things that go beyond just the school system and go as deep as the psyche of those involved.

In time, those issues will fade as long as there is a growing desire to change the situation as well as the knowledge of HOW…which does not land on someone out the blue. It is a nurtured concept.

You are the way you are because your parents were the way they were as well as environment issues. Overcoming all of that is not done in one generation.
Sound reasoning. Not every individual is strong enough to break those constraints themselves. Shame on them? Maybe. But it does take a habitual nature and an overwhelming societal and cultural influence to turn it around… = growing desire&knowledge of how

Kids today and even twenty years ago get the same public education I got, take the same tests for college and get an upper hand in admissions with bullshit like top 10%. And white kids are poor too. Hit up a bfe town and look at all the trailers, head start programs et cetera. Was the “system” designed to hold white folk down too? Because they have alcoholic parents, absentee fathers, cracked out mothers and the “poor” struggle with a narrow world view too.

Plain and simple.

What is ridiculous is using one slow kid to describe all poor kids and then blame it on the school. I mean fuck, zero low income kids would ever even pass a drivers license exam and they drive cars in the ghetto. And shit towns.

Yep. Fits the bill.
Also:

"George Zimmerman’s police record has come to light. NBC is reporting He was arrested in 2005 in Orlando Fl. for resisting an undercover alcohol control officer (who was making arrests in a bar), and obstructing justice (a felony). The police report described Zimmerman as interjecting himself into the situation, and when the officer identified himself Zimmerman said “I don’t care who you are”. When police ordered him to leave again and George replied “Fuck you!”. The police report stated Zimmerman “used violence and battery against the officer”.

Charges were reduced from a felony and Zimmerman was sentenced to anger management classes. If Zimmerman’s charges hadn’t been reduced he would have been unable to get a concealed weapons permit."

Or be trained in citizens police academy. Those are third degree felonies.

Figured this would be related to the recent talk of the thread(somewhat to the original topic) about authority and identifying one’s self.

?He had a temper and he became a liability,? the man said. ?One time this woman was acting a little out of control. She was drunk. George lost his cool and totally overreacted,? he said. ?It was weird, because he was such a cool guy, but he got all nuts. He picked her up and threw her. It was pure rage. She twisted her ankle. Everyone was flipping out.?

A new witness interviewed on CNN cast doubt on Zimmerman?s story, saying that he looked out his window, glimpsed two men scuffling in the dark, heard ?an excruciating kind of yell? and saw what he thought was Zimmerman on top of Trayvon.

?After the larger man got off, then there was a boy, obviously now dead, on the ground, facing down,? the witness told CNN.

?After the shot, one man got up,? the man said. ?He was walking towards where I was watching and I could see him a little bit clearer, and see that he was a Hispanic man and he was, you know, he didn?t appear hurt or anything else, he just seemed very worried.?

Except Trayvon was found face down and shot in the chest. Did the witness also see Zimmerman flip the body over, or did he not think of that when he made up his story?

The difference between you and I…is I never expect any president to be able to completely make over our government. The people truly in power are likely not the media fronts.

I dislike our overpowering two party system. It sucks and turns politics into a proverbial football game when most of the country is likely average or below average intelligence.

Laws get made, very few get taken away…and I think that is fucked up as far as our own freedoms and liberties are concerned.

Our system will likely eventually fail as long as people adhere to that type of thinking.

I want my own freedom to do what I please with my own body as long as is it hurts no one else.

What party do I sign up for that to happen?
I hate our current two party system but they create the rules they play by. So they make it hard for new parties to form and get the level of government help as they already recieve. I just took an american government class last semester and the things our teacher told us about how congress works is ridiculous. I believe it will fail as wellor it will turn into a dictatorship. With the laws recently passed and the fact the government is saying it has the right to assassinate citizens, and indefinitely detain us with no judges consent, or any amount of probable cause I feel like we are heading to a dictatorship.

I like Ron Paul who is or was a Libertarian, I believe he is technically running as a repub. just to get around all the hassle he would face if he ran as a libertarian. But, I have quit believing that a single president can change all the things that need changed.

I’m sorry…but why would it be strange that Zimmerman manipulated the body at all after the shot went off?

It says he looked “worried”. Someone like that would check to see if the kid was dead, right?

If he didn’t, does that mean Trayvon died immediately?

The man’s story is not contradicted at all since Trayvon was found face down like he described.

My honest opinion is that America will eventually fail as a concept only because of the power that some men seem to strive for once in those positions. We have a government that is increasingly getting farther and farther away from what our founding fathers intended when it comes to freedom. Soccer moms and testosterone depleted old men is who run our country and I am not sure they even know what the end goal is other than trying to get everyone to think just like they do.

So Zimmerman was on top, shot Trayvon in the chest and then flipped him over on to his stomach? He couldn’t check his pulse if he was lying face up?

Doesn’t make any sense, please don’t even try to argue that it does.

The only way Trayvon getting shot in the chest and ending up face down makes any sense is if he was on top. That doesn’t mean he threw the first punch, but it does mean this guy’s story is bullshit.

He could have checked to see if the bullet passed through. It doesn’t matter. The kid was shot in the chest and found on his back. SOMETHING must have turned him over or he fell that way.

remember, Zimmerman doesn’t seem rational at all so why is this somehow something he can’t do?

LOL at people ignoring how off this man was yet still acting like his choices were perfectly rational and sound.

I thought previous transgressions didn’t matter? Because, you know, Trayvon attacked a bus driver and all.

Irrelevant.

Finally, what seems like an unbiased statement of the facts:

Also, evidence that supposed respectable news sources are not clearly portraying things:
