You assume a lot. If that gun was at all visible before the first hit, that changes everything. This guy was not a cop but acted like he was one in uniform. He deserves to be found guilty because he wouldn’t have been attacked if he hadn’t chased a kid down with a weapon.

Hell, at my house Spanish and ASL (American sign-language) are pretty common.

I’ve been questioned by neighborhood watches before.

If you remember I used to have some facial hair, wore my hats backwards and could’ve appeared suspicious and intimidating.

Would’ve been easy for a stranger to refer to me as a “punk” in baggy cargo shorts a backwards hat and the facial hair I had as I walked through the actual gated communities that made up my west Houston suburban home.

When questioned, on three occassions I remember between high school and college holidays, I remember being annoyed but answering the questions politely and decisively. Two of them apologetically thanked me for the info and wished me a “good day”.

One called the house I was technically visiting to confirm they knew me, got his confirmation and reluctantly petered off. I’d already been checked in at the gate too, was parked at the pool and walking down a sidewalk to meet some people carrying shit for an afternoon boozing by the pool.

I would’ve been a hot headed pussy to take offense and attack and, had I been shot, the shooter would’ve been legally justified whether I liked it or not.

I speak Spanish and this community has changed so much that you almost need to if you plan to do any business at all in Houston. There are entire neighborhoods right here where people don’t speak English…and the white kids here know enough Spanish to get by also. I’ve treated too many of them to not know this.

Here’s a Twitter conversation where Trayvon and his cousin Stephen Martin discuss assaulting a bus driver days before the shooting. Someone also posted on his facebook asking who he had gotten in a fight with.

It was just reported today (March 26) that Trayvon was suspended from school for marijuana. This is consistent with the facebook conversation I posted earlier which suggests Trayvon was a drug dealer.
