Black Spots on My Cauilflower

Quick question: I bought some cauilflower yesterday, and just now I took it out to cook and it has black spots all over it. I’m assuming this is rot, and usually I would just cut off the rot, but this is many small dots alover the cauliflower and too difficult to trim.

So… throw it out or is it safe to eat?

eat it and report back. if you don’t, then at least others will know not to eat it

Bubonic plague. It’s common.

Its fine if its just a little all over, trim what u can, if the black goes deeper than the outer layer its no good.

“The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice!”

It’s still good, happend to me last night. Just make sure the rot doesnt go too deep in. Also wash it, Would deffinetly suck if it was manure.

Hehe… thanks, I ended up eating most of it, I left a bit of the more black-ish peices, then I got home and went to wash the container and it stunk! I’m just sticking to broccoli.
