All along the watch tower is his only mildly decent song, which he took from bob dylan and made worse. “Born Again” is fantastic. It’s the production that sucks.
I’ve really gained an appreciation of the Gillan and Martin work with Sabbath. It’s seriously underrated. Some of the tracks are up there with their best Ozzy/Dio stuff.
I’d rate Sabbath 8 or 9/10, only because they put out a few dud albums, which is bound to happen when you’ve been around for 40 years.

Get past the Classic Rock radio stuff and listen to them again…I HATED the Beatles for years, but 2 months ago I started listening to their stuff AND in context…it’s phenomenal…like discovering Bach or Beethoven after only hearing Air on G String (not what you think) or Moonlight Sonata over and over again…check out Beatles on BBC…

The Osbournes show and Sharon being a complete psychopath have absolutely no bearing on Sabbath’s resume and the work they produced. Similar to Metallica, the Napster thing is a huge eyesore but that doesnt change what they accomplished.

It’s funny how people try hard to appear different by being contrary but fail to recognize that the odds are the musicians they do like call Hendrix great. You claim to be in love with Sabbath now but guess what? Hendrix was a huge influence on Iommi.
