good stuff. there’s some talk about being able to image these things directly (well, image the event horizon anyway) in the next 10-15 years, if I’m remembering that estimate correctly.
Did the cameraman make it out safely?
That’s crazy. Read A Brief History Of Time about 2 months ago, and in it it was theorized that on the outskirts of our galaxy sits a blackhole that is consideraly larger than our galaxy, and that it may eventually suck us in. Scary stuff.
