I would still say he can box. But I agree not changing his plan when he was obviously getting taken apart by a superior striker was ignorant. Even if things had gone according to plan, he was hoping to take the 4th and 5th rounds, that still leaves him losing a decision.
Sherk can box, just not well enough. Bad game plan.
sherk is just not a born fighter
hes tough as nails, he works hard, but he’s just not a champion caliber fighter like bj penn or anderson silva.

Yeah exactly.
Obviously the guy was throwing some serious heat, but like we’re saying here, no connect means no damage.
The decision to stay on his feet and attempt to box after getting pwnd over and over is really bizarre to me.
And yeah, that quote of his, as he smiles saying it, about boxing, is even more bizarre, lol.
Weird.
I don’t know why anyone thinks it would’ve been easier for Sherk to try for the takedown…so that he could burn up a ton of energy trying to get Penn down and then after about his tenth attempt he might get him down at which point BJ could’ve finished him off of his back. BJ’s jiu jitsu is better than advertised which says a lot given the amount of hype placed on him.
Don’t they do post-fight drug testing? I’d think it’d be a bit risky licking Sherk’s blood if so…

Yeah, and when he said it, it was almost like he was smiling and crying at the same time. I lol’d.
He’s my fav fighter by far, but he honestly does seem fucked in the head when he does that.
and at 86 when he was throwing air punches at the camera…even his gf was like WTF
