No racist, but the ones at the top of the ideological foodchain don’t need to believe in all the bullshit we’re feeding the poor. The poor NEED to believe that they deserve their poverty and that that they are righteous by worshipping Jesus and will go to Heaven and that we really appreciate them by throwing them a “black history month” while elites kick them in the face and ensure their children will never make it out of the slums. If they actually knew what was going on, it would tear this country apart.

I just think we need it on principle. Asians, Mexicans, and blacks have a month devoted to their heritage/history, but whites are overlooked.
I just get pissed off because of shit regarding race, because I’m a white guy living in a non-white city. Other races can called whites “cracker” or whatever, and its not seen as racist, but if a white person called a mexican a “beaner” he is seen as a kkk member, basically.

Heres why you’re stupid. Generic “WHITE day/month” doesn’t exist, but there’s Irish heritage Acheivement celebrations, Italian Heritage Acheivement Celebrations. Jewish Heritage Acheivement celebrations. All kinds. It’s just something that says everyones acheivements are what makes us as a country awesome. Wrong?
I’m referring to white Anglo Saxons.
And these “months” devoted to asians, mexicans, and blacks all commemorate their contributions to America. So why can’t white anglo saxon people (Caucasians) have a month to commemorate what they have contributed to America?

Ok wait. Black History month wasn’t established to celebrate America. Its to celebrate African Americans who fought for our freedom, equality, and our civil rights. If we just sat back and waited for America to give it to us, then it wouldn’t have happened.

What do Caucasians need a celebration for? Every day is a fucking celebration. What grand struggle did you overcome? And also, your history hasn’t been lost or destroyed like African Americans or Native Americans.

You don’t need a fucking White History Month.

Despite seemingly following all the advice and wisdom on this site, doing everything right i seem to be going great at putting on fat and slowly but surely making my phsyic worse and worse.

Loving life at the the moment.

Yeah, because no white person has ever struggled through anything, right?
Every day isn’t a celebration when you’re white. That another perception that is wrong.
I just believe that white anglo saxons should be commemorated for their contribution in making America what it is.

Thanks for fighting for us, but just because you are/were a marine doesn’t make your problems any more or less important than our own, don’t be an asshole.

True. But combat-related PTSD makes you a real threat to yourself and anyone around you.

Been hearing a lot of “Thanks for fighting for us buts” lately. They’re getting old. I would rank being unemployed for 6 months and perceived PTSD as more of a downer than exams and dating.

I decided not to participate in PTSD. Oh well.

Well maybe if you guys didn’t feel the need to play the marine, PTSD, and “I was in Iraq” card every chance you get, I wouldn’t have to say thanks for fighting for us and then you could stop complaining about how “old” it is.

The story I wrote above and my experiences in Iraq Ive only shared with my closest friend and my mother (although I’ve been asked countless times) Those that feel the need to “play the marine” and tell their story every chance they get are fucking liars.

A good rule of thumb is - If he only talked about it once, then he wasn’t lying.

spyoptic, you are so right. Just to take it step further proving you’re arguement is that many guys who were REMF’s or didn’t experience anything were the one’s with the bumper stickers, T-shirts and would never shut up about it.

talking about it anonymously (sp?) on an internet forum is hardly playing the marine and PTSD card. The “thanks for fighting but” comment is merely a literary waiver so you can attack without appearing to be too much of a douche.

Waylander, you can apologize for your comments whenever you’re ready…
I see no need to apologize. Many of the guys I worked with were in the army or were marines and went to Iraq. A bunch of them work as bouncers when they get back into the states. They rarely if ever talked about what went on, and didn’t ask for anybody to feel sorry for them. One of the guys told me he was suffering from PTSD and told me that if at times he acted strangely that’s why and not to take it personally. I respect him for letting me know that.

Lot’s of these guys had it tough, but none of them ever said “oh shut up, I went to Iraq, so you have no reason to complain about anything.”

On this note as well, perhaps am I a bit jaded with all of this. I don’t know how many times I heard this line when I had to kick a guy out. “I went to Iraq man! I would kick your ass!”

The best part about this was one guy I worked with was in the army for like 15 years and he would call the fuckers out. It was priceless.

I hate when people try to trump my complaining by saying they have it worse and I have nothing to complain about. When really, someone has it worse than them, so they shouldn’t bitch either.
I hate everybody.

Then you tell me what fucked up shit happened to Anglo Saxons. And why do they need a specific holiday to celebrate what they did for America? Every immigrant and slave who came to America did something for it.

I can understand having a day to celebrate an ethnicity’s culture and history like:
-The Irish
-The Scottish
-The Germans(Minus 1935-1945)
-The Mongolians

It just sounds like you want a Anglo Saxon day to celebrate what you did for America, not celebrating your culture. So as I said before: Fuck that idea!

No fucked up shit happened to white anglo saxons, but that’s not the point.
White history month can celebrate achievements made by white Americans and their culture.
Is it really so bad?
But whatever, I’m done arguing with you. There’s no way I can convince a black man to advocate anything like this.

I took friday off, I was feeling slightly under the weather.
When I came into work today I had multiple e-mails in my inbox with a coworkers name as the title.
I opened the e-mails to find out he died.

He was an older black fella, really funny, brilliant personality. We were friends, at least as good of friends as one can be at work.
He would always talk to be about eating right and working out. He even told me if I focused enough I could probably do really well in a bodybuilding competition.

We were friends. This morning I found out my friend died after his battle with heart disease.

They took him off life support because he could breath on his own, then he slowly faded away.
The last time I saw him, he seemed so energetic and full of life.

That was after his first session of multiple heart attacks. He seemed like he was coming back, he was gonna keep on truckin’…Then he went away.

I’m so fucking broken up about this…I don’t really know why.

RIP Mighty Lyon…

Of all the people they put in Huston Street and he blows the damn game. Way to go you fuck.

yeah I agree, Ill probably never see the ligh of day on the battlefield as a US soldier, so I have no iead what you people face during those times, but its probably a helluva lot worse than what most people are bitchin about on here. Its because of our soldiers that we can bitch and moan on a forum like this, without some person in the Gov’t trying to slit our throats

Really? I think your chances are pretty high. My narrow experience with the Army kind of leaves me speechless. One had a negligent discharge and shot through our HMMVV, into our gas tank ( I don’t know if thats enough to blow us up)… the other is a squad of soldiers were hit by an IED in our AO, one soldier, a Lt.Col was trapped inside the burning HMMVV and .50 cal rounds were cooking off and shooting him in the legs. The rest of his squad sat there and watched - didn’t even think to provide security before we drove by and my friend pulled him with almost no legs left. Heard he died not too long after MEDEVAC.
