Biotest Products: Old and New

I never tried the original version, but word on the street is that the original version of TRIBEX just rocked, even moreso than the newer versions. It apparently caused crazy wood, among other things.

Has anyone here tried it back in the day?

Dave2,
Yep, vanilla is so versatile. Believe it or not, I haven’t tried banana or orange cream. I’d like to but it’s hard to beat making my vanilla shakes into any flavor I want by adding fruit, peanut butter, whatever. And straight vailla is neutral enough to keep on chugging day after day. I admittedly rely too heavily on vanilla Grow and Grow bars. I need the convenience.

Yorik,
Want to hear a story about the lipid product in development? (Hopefully TP won’t zap this post) When Tim and TC and I started talking about it a couple of years ago, it evolved first into a cinnamon flavored prototype that came to my house unexpectedly. IIRC, it was a nondescript eye-dropper-lidded bottle. It tasted amazingly good, as Tim does his homework regarding flavors, masking odd tastes of active ingredients, etc. Back then I thought it was closer to market as well. The whole process has been strange, as I generally have no involvement in herbal-based products and some other things that I feel are out of my discipline. However, specialty fats have long been neglected compared to carb and protein supplements, and we Westerners currently live in a state similar to deficiency in this regard. This product can help that and I too hope it soon hits the shelves (er, computer screens), as it’s even a bit more than unusually concentrated EPA+DHA.

This may sound wierd, but I’ve become accustomed to “snacking” on the lower potency Costco fish oil caps. It takes me 14+ per day to hit the range I want, so I just use small hanfuls to tack on an extra fat component to a protein snack.

How come no one is talking about Carbolin 19? Is it not as effective as Alpha Male? Or is it just different?

Speaking of old vs new…

Has anyone else noticed that you got more product with the “old?” For instance, my last batch of Grow! was 32oz per jug, this batch has only 28oz. Also, my last order of Alpha Male had 140 capsules, while this one is down to 136. Same price, less product. Is it still worth it? I think so. I just wish there had been an announcement about the reduction in quantities so it didn’t look so suspicious.
