I haven’t read it myself, does he define race? Serious question.

I haven’t read it myself, does he define race? Serious question.
For as groundbreaking as that book was, the real question is still–“why would we allow the OPINIONS of a guy–even a smart guy–who wrote 150 years ago to dictate modern science?”
Modern genetics didn’t exist, phrenology was considered a solid science, and there were still peolle who actively advocated the hollow earth theory.
Nice try at trolling. You have demonstrated the complete inability to respond to intellectual stimuli honestly, so I stopped giving it to you. Why would I cast pearls before intellectual swine?
Answer–I won’t. But, since I know you have a hard-on for thinking you’re the smartest person in the thread despite all evidence to the contrary,I hrant you the grace to continue on in your ignorance.
Yep, that was your mistake.
You couldn’t define your position outside tautological, twisted platitudes, even given repeated urgings to do so. You couldn’t understand the links to actual studies you were linking. You couldn’t respond intelligibly to evaluations of your links.
Why the fuck would you persuade me of your opinion again? You couldn’t even define your terms.
Great plagiarism. You didn’t write any of that.
Raj is, in fact, a plagiarist. Here’s the source of the lengthy quote:
He did post the link right before the quote block. That said, it’s hilarious a blog post by “Jaymans” is supposed to be taken seriously.

+3 for this lifted quote

Fair enough, but why do you doubt the authority of the mighty and well-respected Jayman? ![]()
It’s that low Jamaican IQ… ![]()

Dear @Aragorn I was under the impression you were a science guy and that I would be able to get you to agree to some degree with my stance. Since you haven’t walked back your statement of ethnic brains I am correct but to a much lesser extent than I expected.
From the beginning of thread you have engaged in moralistic fallacy (see your shrieking over physical correlates to iq) the moment you are presented with an uncomfortable scientific conclusion. I think you also called me a white supremacist when I made a list of known racial differences.
The thing is if You define yourself as a science guy and you are willing to ignore uncomfortable facts here, what else are you willing to let slide in your day to day work?

What I’ve posted isn’t my personal pet theory, it’s shared by plenty of highly respected people. Crick, Hamilton, Watson, E.O. Wilson and several others. Tell me, are you just going to ignore their opinions too?
The fact that you haven’t even given this stuff a fair shake looking through studies posted, says more about you than anything else. In one breath you say I should listen to the people who study this stuff and in another you openly ignore the fact this is supported by a nobel laureate whose work is in the field of genetics.
In reality, you are some push over nice guy from the midwest who can’t handle science when it comes to mean conclusions ![]()

So you are telling me that you have never used the building blocks of the knowledge and experience that you have personally been exposed to, to create a solution or ‘new to you, anyway’ way of solving an issue? I want you to think hard about how you have taken the properties of various substrates, welding alloys, working conditions/environment, equipment at hand, and function of the finished good; then create a close to ideal solution to actually build the finished part. Or ED doing the same wi…

Of all the directions this thread could go, this is probably the most ridiculous:
Soda:

Facts about Sugar-Sweetened Beverages and Consumption
Fast Food:

The average American eats fast food 159 times a year. That's 3 times a week.
Might as well just re-post this:
Damn you hyperpalatable foods, damn you!
and this one:
By The Numbers: What Americans Drink In A Year | HuffPost Life
"AdAge recently reported on American per capita beverage consumption for 2010. Perhaps it comes as no surprise that carbonated soft drinks are the most-consumed beverages, with an average of 44.7 gallons consumed per person, per year. "
45 gallons of soda a year. That’s 5,760 oz = 720 servings of Pepsi = 19,440 grams of sugar from soda alone a year (assuming Pepsi is the drink of choice). That’s about 288 sodas a year. I mean my God.
Fast Food Still Major Part of U.S. Diet
“Fast Food Still Major Part of U.S. Diet
Most Americans believe fast food is not “good for you”
by Andrew Dugan
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Eight in 10 Americans report eating at fast-food restaurants at least monthly, with almost half saying they eat fast food at least weekly. Only 4% say they never eat at fast-food restaurants. But slightly fewer Americans eat fast food weekly now than did so in 2006, when Gallup last asked about it.”80% eat fast food monthly with 76% responding that the food itself was not too good or not good at all for them. YET THEY EAT IT ANYWAY
How the fuck can you possibly sit here and say it’s Corporate Americas fault people are fat. They put out a product or products that people clearly want.
