hmm didn’t use white or European but I could see how you could read into that. Just dialoging not arguing. The main point was about Maher, that jumped ship a couple of times, you never jumped on, just claimed me as false but I never claimed to be right and then rather than subjecting an opinion you just said I don’t know what Im talking about. You could definitely be true regarding that case and in fact I wouldn’t argue. But I didn’t say paramount bad guy.
It just tickles me that an entire group of people think they are always right and everyone else is wrong. Like I learned “it is no morally possible to actually go out into the world and say to devout, intelligent, fellow human beings: 'we are saved and you are damned or we believe that we know god and we are right; you believe that you know god and you are totally wrong.” We are the only country to use WMDs btw.

It seems both christians and muslim do exactly this.
Besides, seeing as how you had the whole slavery thing, the treatment of the native peoples and a few wars it seems like “civilized” might not be the right word.

What a naive myth that the white man instituted slavery in the Americas. A laughably, ignorant myth.

Who said that? You are blinded by your need to apologize for Europeans when no one is asking for that. The issue was the idea that Europeans brought civilization or civilized the Americas when all they did was bring their “evils” (note the quotation marks) with them. They didn’t come here and end whatever bloodshed was going on (i.e., civilize) but rather they added to the bloodshed. They brought their wars here (French vs English). They brought slavery.

Saying “they brought slavery” is like saying “They brought their own sand to the beach” is Push’s point.

They brought law, social mores and indoor plumbing.
The idea that civilization, or the process of civilizing, is necessarily always pretty is a naive one.

It still doesn’t address the point of them “civilizing” the Americas. And they did bring slavery with them. It’s not like they learned about it here.
I’m not trying to express “white guilt” either. I understand the historical context in which events took place. I just don’t think saying the Europeans civilized the Americas is the best way of describing what they did. I also see the process of civilizing as still very much ongoing. Saying they civilized this part of the world as though it were a fait accompli is funny when you look at places like the favelas in Brazil, Tijuana, Medellin or Chicago.

No they don’t.
And atheists tend to have the largest demographic of know-it-all’s. Further, they are the most murderous demographic in the history of the world. No terrorist Muslim could perpetrate such evils on the world in their wildest 72 virgin wet dreams.
Speaking of wet dreams, when one has a wet dream experience with a super hot lady or ladies…Is that considered a sin,
or I that considered a super cool gift that you didn’t ask for, but unexpectedly received anyway from a higher power?

Join the dark side, we have no sin, so you can enjoy your wet dream for all it is worth You can even think another mans wife is sexy without burning in hell forever and ever.
The norwegian translation of the ten commandments says you can’t desire anothers wife. I hope the english are getting a better deal.
God should have made a norwegian version of the bible from the get go, so it wouldn’t be misunderstood.

It uses the word covet. Basically to want the woman for yourself sexually and take her by any means. Looking at her is one thing. Lusting or Coveting her is a different thing. You can look at a woman and admire how beautiful she is, but undressing her with your eyes, and wanting to ravish her goes beyond admiring her.
