You guys are tough and insensitive. Bully for you, but the PETA folks have a point. Caring about these things does not make you a nut job. Maybe being completely insensitive to other beings, does make you a nut job. Check out this video:
Protesting should go by order of importance.
I have a problem with protesting how we treat chickens when education, healthcare, and the level of poverty in EVEN the US is out of control.
Not to mention the rest of the world, instead of trying to save some chickens why dont they try to save some human children in any number of foreign countries.
Its ridiculous. People join PETA because its easy to be an activist when you dont have to leave the comfort of your community. [/quote]
Good post, I was watching the movie Just Friends the other night and this reminded me of the bit when the famous pop star does a commercial to raise money for a campain to promote vegetarianism in third world countries. Classic.
I’m not surprised to learn that they’re not from Maine, because unless they went to college in Vermont or some such place, I can’t see a Maine chick doing such things.
Steely, I love your posts, they alleviate my homesickness!

yesterday i ate 5 pieces of original recipe chicken. i was super pissed because they were all out of extra crispy, aka hot and spicy or whatever the hell they call it. they always have a god damn excuse for not having extra crispy. original recipe just doesn’t compare. i hate them so much. next time im jumping over the counter and severely beating the teenager making the chicken for not properly planning ahead to prepare enough extra crispy in order to satisfy my needs.

Most gals from Maine, that I know of, because I did grow up there, wouldn’t have a problem eating meat in any form. If that equates ugly, that’s OK, it’s not your style.

You realize that the Vermont vs. Maine reference had nothing to do with being “pretty”?
