That was with shorts on and after eating a little bit of food today, so I’d estimate I’m sitting around 205 in the AM. Several lbs heavier than I expected… I think a ripped 205-210 is possible by August.

This was fucking brutal. And awesome. One of those workouts where I was kinda zombie-ing over to get a drink between sets, but still managing to get dialed in and kill it when it was work time. Just completely destroyed my lats, and got a great feel/pump in dem bicepts.
I’m strapping more on back work to keep the biceps from engaging so I can really fry the lats/traps, then just doing work on the biceps afterwards. I’m getting plenty of grip work in on the Meadows/Kroc row superset anyway, so I’m not too worried about grip strength being a problem.

Also, I’m starting to pre-exhaust with band reverse curls before my biceps work to try and get the brachialis into the later movements to a greater extent. When I look at my arms from the side, I don’t see enough ‘pop’ between the lateral head of the triceps and the peak of the biceps, so that’s my next arm project lol.

I use straps for every move. Helps keep my arms out of it. So i can basically barely even grip what ever implement is being used for the exercise.
Also how do you set of those banded lat pulldowns?
Dman no way those msr more than that. Mine measure just over 16 cold and yours look a solid 2 inches bigger
@spar Not surprised at all by your measurement haha, you are a beast and I know to just assume that you beat all of my measurements by at least an inch and all my lifts by like 200lbs
@ryan Yeah man, straps are really awesome for feel. I try to avoid them on anything like Kroc rows that could actually help my lockout strength on deads, but other than that I’m DTF with taking the wrists/bi’s out of movements that I use to improve the lats.
I snapped a pic of my band pulldown setup when I was training at school, it’s on page 14 in here. I don’t use the standard lat pulldown station because I actually find that the leg pad is restrictive and doesn’t allow me to position myself exactly where I want to be under the cable. I just use a regular cable station with the lat pulldown bar and the band draped over the station as shown in the pic, then kneel down on the ground. A couple of other focuses I have during the lift are a) externally rotating the shoulders toward the top of the ROM and b) mimicking the hollow body position with my core to help recruit the lats. Hope that is at least somewhat clear lol

I use straps on kroc rows again because i dont care about my grip. If i ever decide to do a PL meat i will be fucked because i use straps on everythign and have baby hands. But with rows i could hit the 100’s for 15 wihtout straps. With straps i can get 30+ and i feel my back 100x more. But you have a reason for not using them
Its all about the illusion anyways. Who really cares what they measure as long as they LOOK beastly like yours. THats why mine evne though they may measure ok will need to be 19+ to actually LOOK big. (didnt even try to have those line up lolz)
