Biggest Loser

They should address why the latest contestant Coach Mo injured himself doing Dumbbell Pullovers with no back support on a bench, and after injuring himself, Bob says Mo is just quitting. If you saw how this guy was doing the pullovers, you could see how he could injure himself. Making a 58 yr old man do stupid shit while weighing over 300 lbs is beyond stupid.

poor coach mo. he tried so hard and was nice. it’s probably better that he got out though. BL is weirder than usual this time around.

Televised fat camp… what has America gotten itself into?

Oh my god, that Tracy chick this season, if fucking psycho. Complete. Psycho. She’s the one who on Day 1, sprinted as fast as she could up that hill, and almost died right on the beach. Then spent forever in the hospital. Fucking hate her, but I love the show. I know it’s not perfect and the trainers do some dumb/weird shit sometimes, but it is entertaining.

I’m a little addicted to the Tracy drama.

it is a game and yeah… . it’s a great opportunity, but why not try to stack the odds?

Does it look like she deadlifts a lot? I think she’s more into bridges and kickbacks. The show is 15 years behind in every aspect of fitness,IMHO. Bob still swears by anything low-fat in his ‘‘trainer tricks’’ spots.

That said, it’s still very entertaining to see a bunch of fat ass melt down to retake human form…as a former fat ass, I just loooove it!

wow, she said she was giving the best she had, but i didn’t see any sweat nor did i see any significant breathing on her part. Yeah Bob for ripping her a new one!

This is something that I always found irritating. It isn’t specific to this show though. Who ever said that trying one’s hardest is good enough? Many people give it everything they have and still fall far short of the mark. That’s just life. That goes right a long with kids getting trophies for stuff just for showing up.[/quote]

amen!

I do like watching the show. It’s a guilty pleasure.

The show is a great motivator for overweight and obese people. Most individuals 350+ feel absolutely helpless and lost. They really feel they can never change -this show dispels that idea completely. It proves they are 100% in control of their bodies and can drastically change the way they look and feel. Granted, they use methods that some of us find un-useful, but EVERY trainer has their own ideology. Everyone’s got a different method. But, you have to admit…Bob and Jillian’s plan works. These people are losing A LOT of weight.

I could look like a damn skeleton if someone was dangling a quarter million dollars in my face.

I remember one scene where Bob talked about the contestants taking in 1200 calories, while burning 6000 per day. I am shocked these people don’t get sick with 6-8 hrs of exercise a day.

It is interesting what people will do for money, but won’t do to improve their life.

I saw that! And they aren’t exactly stressing huge amounts of protein.

I don’t watch the show, but I’ll catch bits and pieces sometimes, and last season they had them all run/walk a marathon I think. It was near the tail end of the thing, they got sent home for a little break to see their families then the producers or whoever dropped a bomb like you are going to run a marathon. I don’t know if they actually did it or not, but making fat people do a marathon is just plain dumb.

But its network television, what do you expect?

Their idea of protein is 3 oz. of lean animal protein at one sitting. They don’t want anyone getting HYUGE.

it’s no wonder they get all nutty and dramatic. Those suckers must be ravenous and with such lousy PWO nutrition can you imagine the aches and pains?

I cannot imagine working out for 6-8 hrs and not either killing someone for their food, or not killing Bob or Jillian.

x2. someone said after they came home and weighed in that they didn’t expect good numbers because they did not get that 46 hours of working out like at the ranch. 46 hours. i guess it’s six days a week, like the worst job in the world, stuck with a bunch of crafty miserable people for company and encouragement between getting yelled at. i feel for them and i still love the show.
