Big Thanks To Jim

Long time reader, first time poster, who was compelled to sign up to thank Jim Wendler for his program and all the extra effort he puts in. Lifting has become a significant part of my life thanks to 531, and my life is much better for it!

After milking Starting Strength for all it was worth, I tried coming up with my own routines for 12 months and unsurprisingly made little to no progress. I stumbled onto 531 through this site just over 12 months ago and haven’t looked back.

I am now stronger than I ever thought I would be, with no hint of the progress slowing. I am injury free and feel fresh (thanks to the deload week every 7th week) and ready to begin another 12 months of 531.

For anyone that is interested, I started with the triumvirate (3 months), moved onto BBB (5 months) and for the last 5 months have been doing the Full Body Training Template from Beyond. The Full Body has been my favourite template so far, and has increased my squat and bench the most. I might look into the Jack Sh*t program to get me through summer (I live in QLD, Australia), or I might just man up and carry on with the Full Body!

If I could any advice it would be to pick a template and do it as written - the peace of mind I gained from knowing I was doing a proven program has been huge.
