As some of you know, I recently took a trip to Seoul, South Korea. The big news is that I’m going to be moving there this summer. After I finish up my M.A., I’ll be on my way back to Seoul to teach English to little kids for a year (maybe two, we’ll see…).
I’m really looking forward to this break–I’ve been in school for long enough. I need to recharge my brain batteries before I start my Ph.D. and start work as a sex therapist. I’ll still be around, though. It will be challenging to adjust to a different way of life and gym facilities, etc.
Wish me luck…if not for Korea, wish me luck on finishing my thesis!

Sex therapist? I knew there was something I liked about you.
If you need help with the dissertation let me know. LOL
Seriously, I hope you have a great time and good luck when you start the PhD… I’m sure you are much easier on the eyes than Dr. Ruth.
That is the best news that I have heard in a long time. Korea is much closer to Australia than the States. It wont take me as long to come as see those lips in real life now.
But in all seriousness, that is great. Congrats and good luck

…and your thesis is?
It’s looking at friends with benefits. More specifically, it’s comparing the sexual attitudes, friendship satisfaction, and friendship quality of cross-sex friends who enjoy “benefits” and those that don’t. It also looks at the sexual behavior itself–what are friends with benefits doing and how comfortable are they doing it.

and start work as a sex therapist.
How are these two related? I’d really really like to know even though I find myself scared to learn the answer…
They’re not related. I’ve spent the last 18 years of my life in school, and I want to take a break before I begin the most important 5 years of my education. I need to approach my Ph.D. with a completely fresh mind, and to be honest, it will take a year of me NOT being a student to get to that point! But since I’m going to Seoul to TEACH, I’m not completely cutting educational ties…
Almost more importantly, it’s just a fantastic financial opportunity–the company I will work for will pay for my round trip airfare, my housing, I won’t need a car, I don’t have to pay US taxes on what I make, and I should be able to put away a minimum of 10K during the year I’m there. There’s no way I’d be able to save that here, considering what the job market is like.
You may want to be sure about your taxation laws with the States. I know i"m going through this right now with my move to Dubai, UAE.
There are certain requirments, I"m not sure what they are in the US, as I know them here, but it’s important that these are fullfilled, otherwise, if memory serves me correctly most governements make you pay taxes on wordly earnings. There are laws concerning tax treaties with other countries that come into play as well. I’d just hate for the Gov. to come back after you’ve got that 10K spent and want their chunk of it.
Best of luck, big moves are excellent and you are only increasing your life experience which is paramount. I have 32 days to go…till I’m outta here.

I think the key is to keep your money in a country that has good banking laws.
My brother spent a couple years in Europe in a similar situatiuon and he left a good bit of his savings over there.
I hope you will be refering the men who are insecure about their small penises to other therapists. I don’t think it would be good for them to hear you explain that less than 6 inches is completely unsatisfactory.
It might not do much good to explain they should meet a petite Chineese girl either. I know, you can start a mail order bride business to hook up petite Koreans with the petite men you meet in your future practice. I’m really going off on a tangent. Sorry.
