Thanks man…appreciate it. Life is interesting and random for sure but the training doesn’t stop. Good work in your log too btw.
1130 and i feel great now. Did a few sledgehammer slams while i had my son and the dog in the backyard. And by a few i mean upwards of 50 reps or so. Just kinda felt like doing a little extra.
@bigdaddi ripping shit up.
Keep it up big man
Thanks man, appreciate it…your no slouch from what i see in your log. ![]()
Ooooo! Definitely in!!! Your log is looking pretty solid I might say
Thursday p.m.
Warm up walk Beau (910 pm)
Training start (955pm)
Pushup/facepull/pushdown tri set x 3 sets 15 reps each
Ohp x 10/12/6/6/4/4
Bent over row x 3 x 10
Upright row x 3 x 10
Chest fly x 3 x 10
Side raise to finish
This felt really good. Up a couple reps on ohp. My pressing sessions for the time being is more about ohp in one way or another and bringing up the performance with that.
The tri set was a good way to get rolling, and then i put in some good work with ohp. Cleaned from the ground at the start of each set. Did some upper back work after that and then did some flys just to get a little extra chest work. Side raises to finish off delts. The only thing missing was triceps but thats ok.
Long day over all, but a good one.
Nice to have you along, much appreciated. ![]()
Friday
Sort of a mixed bag of things…as always with the new routine, walked Beau a couple times. Also did some chins, step ups and other random stuff including a bunch of deadlifts using my power blocks. Just wanted to be active but didnt commit to an actual session. Also did some grip work.
Saturday
Had a good length walk this morning…Beau seemed to want to stay out and explore so we did. Had another shorter one this evening.
Training 10:50 p.m. start :
Rdl + kb swing + suitcase carry x 4 rounds
Front squat x 1 x 20
Zercher squat x 1 x 20
Poundstone curl x 100
Precher curl + tricep pushdown x 3 sets
So this looks kinda like a weird workout…but i have reasons for it. I wanted to get some legs in but i was more so thinking in the way of conditioning, hence the reason why i did what i did. I also wanted some arm work, and those poundstones were awesome…painful, fun…
It wasnt a huge or long workout partly cause of time…but it was good.
This here is my jam.
Yeah it was fun
Sunday
Farmers walk super set with sledgehammer x 5 rounds
Monday
Farmers walk x 3 sets
Reverse sled pull x 3 sets
Arm over arm sled pull x 3 sets
Battle rope x 3 sets
All i did on sunday/monday was conditioning stuff. Quick stuff but plenty of intensity heavy breathing
Fuxking ripping it up @bigdaddi my man.
Destroying it. Keep pushing
Much appreciated man!
Well i had a wrench thrown into things…at least a little bit. I was working on a fairly steep roof yesterday…and i slipped and had a really hard fall. I didnt fall off the roof, but me and the guy i was working with both thought i was going to go right off. I got banged up pretty good, and unfortuantly my knee and ankle are feeling pretty rough this morning. So…im thinking that lower body stuff will have to be modified for a little while. I didnt train last night at all, but today i will probably try to do some stuff to get some blood pumping around the knee, and maybe some other upperbody work
This is getting contagious. First @dagill2, then me, and now you. This is how I got into my Rise of the Machines phase. I could basically only use machines because I always had one limb that didn’t work quite right.
Hope it’s nothing more than bumps and bruises.
Yeah stuff happens…i hope its just minor stuff too but i took today off work so i could take it somewhat easy. Hopefully we can all get back to normal stuff soon.
I got my back straightened out Tuesday and it lasted like two hours. I reached for something in my patrol car and my L5 twisted right back to its painful happy place. I’ve been locked up all week. I could train around it but I just haven’t. Luckily it’ll be a short term issue and a few missed leg sessions won’t kill me.
Hopefully you will be on the mend soon.
Im glad its short term for you man. Just sucks in the mean time.
Yeah i should be. The unfortuante thing is that my left knee has been taking a fair amount of abuse the last couple years. Starting to be a little touchy in general.
