Um, I got stood up. I texted him at noon today and asked if we were still on and he answered me three hours later with a “possibly” then no texts until 8:30 saying he was getting drunk with his friends and heading out to the bar soon.
I feel like a goober.
I mean, girls do shit, ya know? Like I bought new underwear and re painted my toe nails. Which may not seem like a lot really, but I… I dunno. This meant a lot to me.
GIrls should be being stood up for their first dates at like 14, not 26. I feel like I need a group of tweens to take me to the mall and buy me ice cream and ugly jewlery so that I can feel better or something.
Anyway… thank you all for your continued support in my not-really-there love life, that and all my other crazy shennangings.
Like talking about No country for old men and anthony kiedis all the time, heh.
Ya’ll are a swell bunch.
Guy’s a jerk, Jen.
I promise you, if we had a date, no way would I stand you up like that.
And it would mean a lot to anyone; not just you, and not just “girls.”
Smh at what asses some people are…
So, I forget; are you training at a gym? Anymore “potential dates” out there?
Oh Jen, I would totally take you for ice cream. What an awful man. In one way, I’m glad he’s gone, but of course that doesn’t help your feelings of let-down. I promise, it’s not you…unless for some reason you’re missing signals that these guys are jerks. But that’s still not YOU. YOU are fine.
It helps me in life to believe in karma or cosmic justice. So I like to imagine your would-be date waking up with a shiny new DWI this morning, or maybe an STD.

Half the guys posting in this thread now are white knighting.
I wasn’t involved in the thread, but I must say, I fucking hate that annoying ass term. Go back to 4chan you little shit.

To tell the truth, I think our society is currently way too homophobic. Aside from porn videos, I doubt many other guys see another guy’s erection unless they live together. That is why most guys have no clue what “normal” is.
Women are good at using this “insecurity” as ammunition in arguments.
If it weren’t for discussions like this on open forums, I have no doubt that most of the guys growing up before the internet or tv had no fucking clue where they stood in the gene pool.

Seriously? Women throw this out in arguments? You’ve actually had this happen? Because it seems such an asshole move to me, I have trouble believing it really happens. Much less that women as a whole are “good at” using it as ammo.

Women, in my “limited” experience like to go for a man’s “masculinity” in arguments…like, 'If you were a real man, you would go get a job!"…or something like that.
It is just my opinion that this is a relatively soft area with many guys…because our masculinity being questioned is questioning who we are as a person. We worked hard our entire lives building that persona based on pride and image.
For instance, if you tell your man in public that he lasts for two minutes, how do you think that will be taken?
It is just something I have seen even with other couples when a heated argument erupts.
Women don’t go for physical force. They go for mind games and trying to degrade “who” you are.
