I think you’re confusing the chicken and the egg. The reason that we don’t see good, big actors out there is because they are not in demand, not because they don’t exist. There are probably some guys with talent that just aren’t being looked at because, hey, who needs to be really big when Shia La Douche and Toby McQueer are considered “large” and “in shape” by today’s standards?
My vote is that guy that played Keamy in Lost and The Blob in Wolverine. Too lazy to look up his name right now. He’s pretty good size and has decent acting chops.

Seiuli

Bond, James Bond

Jason Statham

AC Slater - before

this pic cleverly hides his complete lack of leg development (its disgusting)

Fuck while looking for a recent AC Slater found an even better before, would delete but can’t so here’s another anyways

AC today (or at least more current), still big enough for this thread IMO though his acting is mostly putting on smiles as he hosts crappy shows.

And a slightly tenuous one is Jouko Ahola (Kingdom of Heaven).

Ralf Moeller.
former competitive bodybuilder, was in the 88 Mr. O.
played the German in Gladiator, was also in a Conan TV series in the late 90’s.
YES! Ralf Moeller is awesome, how did we forget him?
EDIT
If he was still alive, does Jeep Swenson count?
Who said Arnold can’t act?
Anyone seen Twins or Junior. Those movies showed amazing stretches in ability.

Big guys (read: not Pitt in Troy or Fight Club, not Affleck in Daredevil) who can act.
First submission: Mickey Rourke.
Andrew Bryniarski. Not an awesome actor but big.
Also played Leatherface.

Kevin Durand.
I can’t remember his name, but he was a comedian that used to be little and then started bodybuilding and got pretty large. It’s right on the tip of my brain but I can’t remember his name.

Oh yeah. Forgot about him. But no, he was around in the 80’s and 90’s. What the hell is his name??? Shouldn’t have drank so much back then. Killed all the brain cells.

Joe Piscapo?
Carrot Top looks like shit.
I think Ving Rhames is the best “big” actor. The Scenes with Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction were entirely too memorable to not put Ving at the top of that list.
“Naw man… I’m pretty fuckin’ far from OK”
Brilliant, and those scenes rolled without jump cuts and whatnot, a lot of what’s in the movie was one shot ran the whole way through.

That’s him!!! I know he’s not current and was not a great actor, but, as mentioned before, the pool is pretty small.
Gotta agree with that above though. Ving Rhames, definitely.

Not an awesome actor, but awesome in The Program.
