Ideally, but it usually reflects the morality of a few enlightened individuals who had the power to make laws that the ignorant mass had to obey. I’m talking about the roots of our laws that go back to ancient Greece and Rome.

As a father to a 5th grade girl who’s an athlete, I’ll raise my hand and answer no to both of those questions. As to the bathroom thing, that’s not going to happen or if it does it’ll be so rare it won’t make much of a difference and the reasons for this are many.
For starters, as someone else mentioned the consequences of doing something like that could be unpleasant for the perpetrator. Second, as mentioned, everybody has access to porn on their phones now so why go into a bathroom where any female is going to be in a stall anyway. To catch a glimpse of someone with their pants down in a girls bathroom is going to mean someone actually breaks into a stall with someone else which is going to be a crime regardless of gender, sexual orientation, etc. I could go on, but I just don’t worry about this at all.
The sports thing is a different issue as it’s already happening:
But this was already happening under Trump’s watch so to hang this solely on Biden doesn’t make sense.
In general, the whole “let’s be as politically correct as possible” is one of the reason’s I’m not a Democrat and generally don’t support them. The Democrats would gain traction with a lot of people if they’d cut this type of stuff in half.
But these are also minor issues in general and pale in comparison to the economy, foreign relations and the environment.

Of course. I’ve never thought we saw much alike though we get along rather well (if I may say so). However, I’m a staunch social conservative. For me, this, the Mexico City policy reversal, and the war on the Little Sisters of the poor are major issues. Maybe Biden is a centrist on fiscal policy?
This pretty much sums up my thoughts on these issues as well. It’s sucks that the environmental issues have become politicized. We’ll never have complete agreement about the human impact on climate change, but we can all get behind keeping the air and water clean idea. I don’t buy into the “if China isn’t going to clean up their act we shouldn’t either”. We should get out in front of them on this issue and others and use it as a stick against them.

Are there stalls in girls’ locker rooms?
Who gets affected by trans women in sports? Women. A female to male athlete won’t be competitive against men. Let women stand up and defend their rights if they have a problem with it. If they are unwilling or too cowardly to speak up for themselves, then that’s on them. Let women be the bad guys for once.
In general probably not. Look, I’m a father and I’m as protective as most I think. I’ll probably have my 12 gauge visible when my daughter gets picked up for her first date. I’m just not worried about this. Will there be some isolated incidents of this type? Sure. Guy walk in, whips his dick out, all the girls laugh and hold out their pinky when describing it later to their friends. The guy is humiliated.
There’s a lot more to be concerned about these days with FB, Instagram, etc and from what I’ve heard from friends with older girls they can be nasty as shit to each other in HS. I’m more concerned about that as there’s probably a 100% chance of that happening vs a .00001% chance of the dick in the girls locker room incident. This is just majoring in minutia.
And, haven’t you guys seen Starship Troopers, Battlestar Galactica or Robocop? Coed locker rooms are inevitable.
It will become a more major issue when this type of thing happens in the WNBA, NWSL etc. When men start taking pro contracts away from a women on a semi-regular basis I think we’ll see a stronger reaction to it. But, there’ll be a ton of pressure to go along with it to be PC.
Men went along with title 9 to the detriment of male sports like wrestling. Is it Karma? Irony?

A father should want his children to have some propiety. His girls not subjected to boys in their locker room or the girls sexting with vagina pics. As doogie said, boys acting that way used to be subject to a beating. The entire history of the world until last week, was defend your daughter and make sure your son wasn’t the scumbag.
I don’t even think you feel this way, based on the fact that you give your life for children that need an advocate with decency.

Serious question. Who do you think is most likely to be the boy who identifies as female in the locker room/bathroom scenario? :
- Generally high drive, wants to be sexually active heterosexual, multiple varsity letters, etc. Basically the “man’s man” in the making.
Or
- Impish, already extremely self conscious, likely homosexual, self loathing/depressed, looking for a safe place to change clothes.
I’m guessing it’s gonna be #2.

But it’s the arguments I’m taking issue with. The social conservatives said if gay marriage was passed everyone would marry animals next. Didn’t happen. They said pedophiles would go through transitions so they could be in the bathrooms with kids (didn’t happen plus a ludicrous notion).
I would rather see someone just say “this isn’t a good policy” than come up with these scenarios that when looked at with scrutiny aren’t even realistic. If we listened to the slippery slope people we would still be treating blacks, gays, women, etc as less deserving of rights.
I’m just saying if people really think this is going to lead to high school boys being unchained and waving their dicks in girls locker rooms OR if people think the only thing stopping high school boys from waving their dicks in girls locker rooms now is this not existing that I strongly disagree.
Certainly not football since women can be on the team (as shown by that terrible kicker this year).

I think it’s about a whole heck of a lot more than locker rooms and sports. Somebody here said something about males transitioning to females. They don’t. You can feel for them, but they don’t become female. They’re mutilated males on hormones who BELIEVE they feel like a female (I thought gender roles were social constructs and not inherent orientations) . If we aren’t even able to admit the above and conduct ourselves to even that, because feelings…ooof.
Anywho, second case of Covid (found out with a test this morning) in the household. Busy playing nurse. Yes we’re pro-mask, social distancing. We’re conservatives, not anti mask Trumpian populists!
