The problem isn’t that she (supposedly) supports reparations. It’s that she knows it won’t happen but will say it to get the black vote.
The honest answer is that this story jives with countless other examples of similar behavior, corroborated by trustworthy folks. The journalist who wrote this piece is well respected, and clearly states that the version of events was independently corroborated by two separate sources in the room (who he is keeping anonymous as is normal), and that a current trump staffer and MAGA member both refuted the story.
It’s up to the reader to make sense of the conflicting stories, and decide whether it affects their outlook on trump.
I disagree. Reparations are yet another future state goal that’s been plainly-stated.
Let’s pretend we can time-travel back to 2010. We undertake this mission to warn Americans that their local public schools will soon be telling children that they can become members of the opposite sex and then modifying their entire operating structure to pretend that this is true whenever children latch on to this idea that has been planted in them at the public school.
What do you think the reaction would be?

Being Asian in 2024 just isn’t going to gain you much sympathy, so it seems to me that you’re stuck with increasingly rare normal people who judge people as they come and increasingly bold Asian fetishists as allies.
The former comes naturally to me but the latter runs in my blood for some reason. Several of my extended family have married into Oriental bloodlines and there have been other relations that did not end in marriage.
I haven’t asked someone who can tell me what the reason for this affinity in my family may be, but I suspect it might be kind of perverted.
