Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

Maybe. Kamala clearly prepared well, and trump was trumpy. No real surprises, but obviously some folks were swayed, at least temporarily.

It’s the economy, stupid.

There are some inescapable truths. Thats one of them.

You can’t rehearse your way around disasterous inflation and rampant state subsidized infestation of criminals or policy decisions that make both worse.

“I don’t think most Americans, are going to be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and the problems of most Americans,” Vance said Wednesday

Lol.

Donald Trump seems pretty connected with the problems in Lewiston, Maine.

I’m not sure who Vance is talking about, but most billionaires love what is happening in towns like mine.

Taylor Swift.

Apparently, there’s some sort of metric whereby the number of followers an “influencer” influences is divided by the number of followers said influencer has. The number of followers who followed Swift’s so-called advice was essentially a rounding error compared to the number of followers she actually has.

Speaking of billionaire celebrities…

The American MSM is the only entity that can take a billionaire white male, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and gang up on him enough that the average non Leftie American actually considers said billionaire white male to be an underdog, and of the people no less. Hilarious.

Why do billionaires like whats happening in your town? Curious to your thoughts on this

Netanyahu is a POS, and so is much of his cabinet (Ben Gvir cough cough). They have repeatedly in official (not off the record) communication called POTUS names (Hamas/terrorist lover, Alzheimer’s patient etc.). Weirdly, they really can’t complain on Sleepy Joe’s Israel stance (including rushing 155mm shells and myriad of other weaponry to Israel after Oct 7th per Joe’s orders), so the insults coming from Bibi and his cronies are truly baffling. Dissing Netanyahu was the right call IMO.

You’re stating bleeding heart liberal talking points about a revenge fantasy and completely missing the point.

“Mass deportations of illegals” is a revenge fantasy designed to trigger an emotional response, much as “lock her up” or “Mexico will pay for the wall”. The target audience will feel warm and fuzzy inside after a dopamine rush, details be damned. Maybe even daydream about police vans rounding up uppity Somalis or Haitian cat lovers in broad daylight.

But the matter is logistics. Do you know how big of a police/security apparatus, including reeducation camps, the PRC deployed to “process” (cough cough) a fraction of the 11 million Uyghurs in the country. Same with Russia that “processed” (detained/tortured/killed) 3 million Ukrainians.

Now multiply that by 10, and assuming the US government will not opt for “disappearances” you’ve got a shitload of people to a) find b) detain c) process d) send (where exactly?)

Will other countries, including those ambivalent to hostile to US (Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia…) take back people that may or may not be their citizens? How will they be sent there or to some other place? Planes? Commandeered cruise ships? A zerg rush towards Mexico?

So in the best case scenario this plan would involve a massive expansion of the US security apparatus (ironically coming from what once was a limited government party), creation of a vast landscape of holding facilities (the entire prison system houses what, 2 million inmates?) and possibly military deployment abroad to force unwilling LatAm countries to take in people who may or may not be their citizens. Again, 20 million is A LOT of people.

And kneecapping the American agriculture sector (who is completely dependent on illegals, not to mention construction) while instituting Trump’s pledged Marxist import tariffs… Well, that’s a weird way to honor Hugo Chavez’ legacy from apparently his GOP fans.

But like I said, details doesn’t matter. The purpose of this hare brained plan is to daydream about roundups and the strong arm of the benevolent state.

That isn’t how it would play out. For example, you have illegals who get arrested for crimes other than being illegal, but they are released as if they were here legally. I know for a fact, and have seen it several times, where a state agency knows someone is here illegally but won’t report that to the authorities. I see the rap sheets of people who have a criminal record in the state, sometimes other states as well, and a federal record which states they have been deported and are to be denied reentry. But they are back and it doesn’t get reported to ICE. Start there when it comes to deportation. Eliminate sanctuary city status. Stop giving welfare and other benefits. When an illegal’s debit card has a zero balance, she’ll go to the welfare office and be given an escort to the airport and a plane ticket home. There is no need to round anyone up.

Air drop them in!

They can be who ever they want to be. Thats on them.

We’re supposed to be better than that. The way she behaved was trash.

Ok, but that covers a fraction of the 20 million. Half of US agriculture workers are illegal immigrants. How do you solve that problem? What about the construction industry?

Well, that’s gonna bring societal changes for sure. Like when the US resettled black Americans to Liberia in the 1840s and they immediately recreated antebellum South with them being plantation owners and the locals slaves.

Bibi repeatedly and publicly shat on her boss who unconditionally supports him. Good for her for showing a spine.

Yeah. They can round up all of the gang bangers and what ever other garbage and toss them through a chipper for all I care.

When you start getting 3rd world crime patterns emerging throughout the US, its well past time to start treating them like the shit that they are.

Ok, serious question - I went to a shitty high school in The Garden State 25+ years ago and there were…ummm…bla… I mean, ghetto gang bangers shooting up each other on a regular basis back then.

In the meantime my experience with crime in the US was being in a Walgreens near Scranton PA while it was being held up (it was over in a minute and apparently the robber was a local meth connoisseur) and of course walking through SF where almost all the homeless meth heads who attempted to start a conversation with me (while they were masturbating, on two separate occasions) seemed all natives.

What changed? Somalis shooting each other up? Mexicans?

“Unconditionally”? I mean, there definitely are some conditions. He definitely abstained in the security council to allow a resolution condemning Israel and supporting terrorist Hamas to pass.
