Imo, Biden endorsed Harris so he could look like “The President” for the rest of his term, plus flipping a bird to Obama.
The big key here is what Obama said, i.e. he did not specifically endorse Harris it appears. The DNC will be in Chicago, coincidentally…

Apparently, Biden did not include the Harris “endorsement” in his original tweet; that came in a later tweet; not sure what that means. Political machinations behind the scenes, maybe.
Mark Halperin, the guy who predicted it would happen this weekend (and then got all kinds of crap from the Biden camp), thinks that the overt endorsement was not made by Pelosi (he didn’t mention Obama) because the Dems don’t want Kamala to look like the “establishment” candidate.

A friend and I talked about this Thursday and we were wondering if he was going to have to endorse her or if he could get out of it… lol

I think it’s entirely possible that he doesn’t yet know that he dropped out. How is X the way he published his resignation? Why has he still not made an actual statement to a camera?
