How about a comma?
Worse than that ^^.
Shapiro is 100% spot on here imho -politics these days is indeed about “faux ignorance”. (also, for people with an actual interest in hearing both sides, Shapiro’s debate with Destiny (dumb moniker but the dude is obviously intelligent and good at debating) on Lex Friedman’s YT channel is worth a listen.
I watched the first few minutes and had to stop. Destiny had no idea what he was talking about. I worked in an inner city school district as well districts that were in lower income areas. The kids were all given laptops and free breakfast and lunch. I believe LA schools gave its students iPads. And the differences between suburbs and cities, low income and higher income areas, with regard to money spent per pupil are not that great. People who live in nicer areas just assume that poorer areas don’t get much money and kids use abacuses and stone tablets.
(Like most of what I hear from “leftists”…) You only know he’s wrong because of your personal experience. You have to listen with the perspective that Destiny is apparently one of the more rational “leftists” out there, and that he’s trying to use “facts” as espoused by the left. Even then, the anti-Trump hysteria shines through, since imo his best gem was where he is 100% certain/afraid that if Trump gets elected, Trump will try to stay in office even after his term is over (and that Trump has a chance to succeed this time, which again is the anti-Trump hysteria talking). Destiny never used “Nazi” or “fascist” though (is actually against the usage), so that was a positive for him.
Friedman as a random aside said he was schooled in Russia, so he only learned math; Destiny’s quick comeback was “oh, where 1 + 1 = 3?”
Does Anyone doubt that Pres Trump would try to stay in office after a theoretical 2nd term?
If Trumps gets elected, I will bet you any amount of money that he does not.
I guess we would have to define “try.”
Pushing/backing some protege of his does not count.
In case y’all missed it, it’s Trump’s fault that the public is brainwashed (irony…) and no longer interested in mass media.
Would simply having a meeting with a bunch of lawyers to spit ball legal theories about challenging the 22nd amendment count?
That’s the thing. I know, and I know I know, and why I know. He doesn’t know and should know he doesn’t know but still talks as if he does know. Leftists just assume that every problem can be solved by spending more money.
They said that before he lost the first time. They think he can declare himself dictator like Michael Scott declared bankruptcy. But civics is no longer taught so we shouldn’t be surprised.
I heard that and didn’t get it. The funny thing is that CA wanted to change how math is graded and have answers that were close enough be considered correct.
He could try all he wants but it won’t matter.
What do you mean it won’t matter?
That’s the whole bet.
About as much as his oft quoted line in the MSM about how he plans to be a dictator on day one (for one day, which gets left out).
Do you feel his actions after his first term reach the level of “trying” to stay in office?
You know his blind to the law supporters are 30% at best, right?
Even now, he might not get the majority of Republican votes any longer if he was actually sent to jail for one of those trumped up (pun intended) charges.
I 100% agree with Shapiro -Trump will declare himself to have done insert whatever here that no other President has done before, and ride off in to the sunset pounding his chest.
Do you remember when CNN first started? There was a clear distinction between its newscasts and punditry. And the pundits were not all from one side. It’s all unwatchable now.
Yes. But this is only because he lost, and he is too narcissistic to ever admit to losing to a loser like Biden. Especially when he knows the opposition was cheating their asses off by having the media carry Biden’s water.
Don’t forget the Trump is a Russian spy drama, the Hunter Biden laptop is a hoax drama (he tried to mention the laptop on 60 minutes, and Lesley Stahl cut him off and refused to let him talke about it), etc.
I don’t know what you mean by try. He isn’t going to do a sit in. He won’t call up the National Guard. I don’t think many Americans have a clue when it comes to a president’s powers. Even Trump found out he couldn’t just order a wall to be built.
But I don’t think he tried to stay in office as much as he tried to get re-elected to office.
