The chance is greater than zero. Foreign adversaries would be foolish if they weren’t sending operatives here in these conditions.
Especially if various US government entities will put them up in a hotel or a nice apartment without asking a lot of questions.

I’m not saying no one will do anything. I just don’t believe that all illegals are just biding their time, waiting for a secret signal from the government to attack Americans.
I mean, if they did, how successful would they be? The majority are likely uneducated, unskilled laborers. It’s not like every illegal is a secretly trained sniper or something.

The measure for success depends on what they are trying to achieve. Here in Maine we have what seems to be a concerted effort by Chinese nationals to buy up residential property and set up massive illegal grow operations.
Are these just regular Chinese dudes making millions overseas without any CCP involvement? I find that unlikely.
Would these guys be good neighbors to have if things popped off in the Taiwan straight?
I’m not sure, but it would be nice if those properties were available for Maine families.

I agree. There’s issues in my own state with Chinese buying land that I would like available to myself and my peers. But I think there’s a bit of a difference between China making organized attempts to hurt the US and Latin American farm hands synchronizing widespread street violence.
