Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

Apparently one can as that was taken out of context. If you watch the whole interview you can see that. There’s a difference between saying what families should do (like the clickbait title suggests) and what they have to end up doing when faced with inflation and higher gas prices.

That has been my take on it since he announced his candidacy.

Basically, let the guy die in peace with his dignity intact.

But Nooooo, they had to prop him up for one last run. Its fucking inhuman. I’m no rights advocate of any type, but what has been done with him is the product of the wanton thirst for power no matter who it destroys, and its sickening.

This is how they treat their own.

That’s your opinion. Was it dramatized, yes. Was that indicative of his overall thought process/outlook on this inflation thing, yes.

Fetterman is the Biden thing all over again. Zero lessons learned. In addition to the power thirsty people behind the scenes, blame should also be placed on the lemmings that vote for the poor sap.

Not only are there no lessons learned, the new message is “Vote for the party, not the person!”. ← This will sort the next wave of true believers.

It’s so weak and insipid. They know their candidates are bums, so instead of voting for an actual federal representative, forfeit your own interests to support The Party.

Its just so scummy and stupid. Dont vote for a potato! Vote for the potato party!

They had no choice.

The lemmings just did it again. They elected a potato to be one of our state senators.

WTF?

I blame Oz’s likeability problem in conjunction with Fettermans relatability.

Indeed. Well, I guess Democracy still works…

Early voting comprising almost 1.5 million votes started a month before the debate, so hopefully those pre-potato votes were what boosted Fetterman. Independents are a rare breed these days, and you know hard core Dems will vote D no matter what.

The only good news to come out of all this is that the Orange Man’s (theoretically) triumphant announcement of his 2024 candidacy will fall flat on it’s face, instead of riding some wave like he probably expected.

I agree with this talking head:

Trump doesn’t need magic. He understands real power. Not the false confidence that a soothsayer imparts.

I actually watched that whole video, got zero laughs out of it to be honest.

Back to Orange Man -he won in 2016 because the dumbass Dems ran the only person hated more in the US than him, aka Hilary. Trump’s current disapproval rating is as high as Biden’s, and Trump’s been out of office for 2 years, before Biden and his crew f**ked up the economy. But for some reason the R party still thinks he’s the guy to lead them.

Supposedly, the Dems actually spent money to boost MAGA candidates (the general running for the senate in NH was one of them) because they thought the MAGA candidates would be easier to defeat given the shitty environment. Results say that was the correct strategy.

Now, maybe some sane Rep who doesn’t say crazy shite on social media as a hobby will actually have the balls to run for President in 2024.

Dude got voted out LOL. He was the Dem Congressional Campaign Committee chair.

And it only took a veeery small red ripple to do it.

Yeah, I remember all of the talk of him becoming the behind the scenes kingmaker and just never really bought it. I’m too cynical for that shit and magic only works if you believe in it.

What worked in 2016 is not necessarily what will work at any other time.

I lived in NYC for 30 years. And I always tell people when I have the chance that Trump’s wealth only survived the real estate collapse way back when because he was too big to fail, so the banks bailed him out. Dude was actually on a salary set by his lenders at one point.

TBH, I am surprised at how the election is unfolding. I thought Dems would get pummeled. Was expecting a red wave, but it seems to be a trickle.

What went wrong for the GoP? Did overturning Roe have a larger impact than expected? A few bad candidates (Oz and Walker come to mind)? Fears of anti democratic leaders? Demographics issues? Something else?

I really don’t know. Maybe it is multifaceted?

The GoP will take the house, and I am not upset about a mixed legislator. Hopefully both sides can come together and work on some non divisive policy we can pretty much all agree with.

He looks like a jackass wearing a hoodie and jeans all the time. Don’t get me wrong, that’s my preferred attire as well. But come on, your not going to coach softball, it’s the Senate.

Perhaps they’re thinking of how well the country was doing during his presidency (pre COVID nonsense). A lot of people I talk to just want that prosperity back.

Hard to find a good suit off the rack when you’re 6’8". Maybe he will buy some custom suits now?

No thanks. The only time they agree is when we’re getting screwed. Usually in the form of taxes and war. Let them squabble indefinitely and nothing get done.

I heard the democrats spent close to 150 million dollars on that campaign. I’m sure there was suit money available. Lol

Imho…it wasnt the candidates, it was the voters

they are accepting of high inflation
they are accepting of high fuel prices
they are accepting of the failed foreign policies
they are accepting of the green new deal
they are accepting of high crime
they are accepting of wokeism
they are accepting of transgenderism being taught to little kids

Just to name a few

I also think Trump being involved was an issue
