Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

I don’t see what we are doing so much as helping Ukraine as fucking over Russia. I’m ok with that.

The main reason as mentioned was war was declared on us. Keeping the Soviets in check was one reason why it was important. People today, particularly on the Right, are concerned about socialism and politicians like AOC and Bernie. They see marxism in our schools, from K - college, and how many young people are drawn to it. This is nothing new as we had something similar with McCarthyism. Maybe people thought with the fall of the USSR the threat of communism was definitively over. But it seems to be an issue again.

Imagine a world where the Soviets could expand, not simply in a physical sense but in an ideological sense, and we had a world where every country in Asia, Europe, South America and Africa were communist? It could have happened. There were plenty of communists and socialists in Western European nations who would have welcomed the Soviets.

We worry about AOC, Bernie and college professors; that’s nothing compared to what could have been. People talk about civil war over transgenderism, drag queens, abortion, books which we think kids are too stupid to read (but we read when I was in high school and education was objectively more rigorous), etc, but real civil wars and real violence have been fought over political ideologies like socialism/marxism/communism. Cuba, Spain, many African and South American nations, China… you had the Red Brigades in Italy who make Antifa look like the Keystone Kops.

So you’re suggesting that we should have just done nothing after pearl harbor?

This is not a perspective I think I’ve ever heard, and it is what you’re implying here.

I’d prefer to not provoke such actions in the first place.

That’s what the Japanese should have thought.

I often wonder what would have happened had Japan not attacked Pearl Harbor.

I bet Europe would be a lot less pussified and cucked.

If we somehow assume we stay out of the war entirely, Japan would have probably used that massive army they kept parked on the Soviet border to open up a second front.

Back on topic, I watched My Son Hunter yesterday. It was entertaining and sad with a few really funny jokes. Kind of like this administration.

It makes me wonder how all of that Ukraine money is being spent. I’m sure it’s all above board with a guy like Joe Biden in charge.

I mean it isn’t like Ukraine has been a corrupt training ground for politician’s kids or anything.

I am sure the Big Guy is doing everything with transparency with no kickbacks. Even though crack and hookers are not cheap these days.

Instead, they’re just like the USA.

I saw an obesity map of Europe yesterday. Looks like they are catching up.

Worse. Disarmed and closer to full blown socialism.

I dunno, you never see badass people like this in Europe.

I don’t know why Americans think that people in Europe don’t/can’t own guns. And this myth comes from the right and left. They manufacture them and it’s not like they just sell them to America. They just don’t murder one another with them like they do here.

And they are further from full blown socialism than fifty years ago. The communist party in Italy dissolved in 1991 and the remnants, as far as I know, hold zero seats in parliament.

The golf cart adds to the badassness. Is one of them wearing Crocs?

I’m sure this European would be scared.

Yup.
And his buddy next to him is wearing sandals, like some Roman Gladiator, but holding a gun with one hand and a beer with the other.
Can’t get more badass than that.

That tiny bear doesn’t impress badass Americans, who have been fighting off Grizzly bears for centuries.
Khabib’s hairline is a different story, dude barely has a forehead.

Nobody ever said they can’t own guns. Their laws vary, but they are MUCH more restrictive unless it’s Switzerland.

Handguns are banned in most places like the UK.

Also let’s not talk about their violent crime rates comparably.

Italy - Beretta and Benelli
Austria - Glock
Germany - H&K, Walther
Switzerland - B&T, Sig (my absolute favorite)

England and France - Boss and Co. - Ammotech - mainly shotgun and bolt action rifles. France does have some of the most immaculate and articulate over and under shotguns in the world.

There are other various small gun makers / custom ones, but these are the big names in Europe.

I find it funny that many of them make automatic weapons for military and police use and AR / semiauto rifle style weapons for civilians, but you can’t own them in the country they are made in for the general public. Same goes for handguns.

I don’t know where you get your “facts” from. It’s easier to get a semi auto rifle or handgun in some European countries than in some states in America.

Which European countries would that be?

It certainly isn’t the UK, France, or Germany.

Sweden, Switzerland, and Norway have very gun friendly laws for handguns and semi auto or Ar style weapons, but the rest of Europe? Not so much. You generally have to have a gun permit for a specific purpose in most European countries for hunting or some other exact purpose.

Where are you getting your “facts”?

I also want to know where it is easier to get a semi auto rifle or handgun in Europe compared to MS in the US. I am genuinely curious. Because I can buy whatever I want and be out of the store within 10 mins or less.
