Their voters believe it. They just want “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy” back.
So on the 1st anniversary of Jan 6th, you want the president to apologize for what the Democrats did. Ok. Gotcha.

I despise both of our political parties equally. I equally despise the use of past wars for political gain. VP Harris took it too far. Disgusting. I think TK said it best:
I am against all forms of terrorism. I’m against all forms of political violence. I think each and every act and actor should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Whether that be at a riot in Chicago, Minneapolis, or even in Washington DC. But the thought of comparing January 6 to the September 11 attack or to the attack at Pearl Harbor is not just disingenuous, it’s heartless, idiotic, and cowardice. *Make no mistake about it, January 6 was unacceptable and if anyone internal to the government fostered it, they too should be dealt with. But this comparison is disgusting and the acts of violence that occurred all over our nation from 2016-2020 should be equally as infuriating as January 6

I was listening to Dan Carlin’s podcast Supernova In The East Part II yesterday, which covers the Pearl Harbor attack. I was listening to stories of men burning alive, bodies raining down from the sky when the USS Arizona exploded and sailors trapped in the wreckage of the USS Virginia to die slow deaths, banging on the hull for 16 days before they suffocated.
While I was listening to this it struck me how absolutely vapid, insulting and shameful these speeches were. It is over-wrought storytelling by incompetent politicians for the most cynical of political purposes.
January 6 was a protest that went too far. It was still bad, but that’s all it was.
Nothing remotely like this happened on January 6. This administration is a disgrace.

Being honest would have been a big hit. Like not comparing it to the Civil War, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 would be a nice start. People rioted at the capitol and the only person who died was an unarmed rioter. It was a bad thing, but comparing it to the worse things that have ever happened is laughable. It’s like comparing a paper cut to being shot 14 times.
There really is nothing to commemorate. Sadly, in the bubble world of these politicians, it probably is the worst thing they ever experienced. But imagine what these idiotic comparisons feels like to all the people whose lives were burnt to the ground over the summer never to recover or the over 30+ people who were killed in the riots over the summer? Or the over 2000 injured cops, some who are permanently blind now? And where the majority of the perpetrators of these acts have been cut loose with no pending charges.

Hell, for what they have done to the economy, the boarder, Afghanistan, the idiotic, in coherent covid policies, the blaming of the citizens for their poor decisions, the giving up on covid, the race baiting, etc. An apology would be the least they could do.
I laugh at pretty much everything all these stupid politicians say. But I had to turn that off because it made me so mad I wanted to do violence.

It’s something like you would have heard on a comedy show. So absurd. Pearl Harbor? 9/11??!! Where the World Trade Center was leveled and around 3000 people died, seriously? I could have never imagined a world with out the world trade center, they were so permanent, so iconic. Now they are gone. For young people, I guess it’s hard to understand. But, trying to equivalate what was a riot to acts of war is beyond the pale. The prior 2 events, the whole country felt, deep in it’s core. Jan 6 about maybe 600 people felt deeply.
It is of course deliberate, to set the narrative to make fellow Americans equal to terrorists, so that when they are disappeared, people will feel they deserved it. I don’t think people are buying it though. Just my sense.

But that’s not enough. If people get complacent, the left will come back even harder. It is a little nice to watch biden fail so spectacularly that no one can point to a single thing his administration has done right.
I’d rather he have been a good president, but it was clear that was never going to happen. He’s too stupid, too corrupt and all he can do is BEG for censorship.
